We stayed at the castle for two nights earlier this month and are considering having our wedding there next year. Main points: *The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. *The food was excllent and the portions huge. *The grounds are beautiful and the castle is quirky and homely (we loved drinking our wine by the log fire)... I would highly recommend this as a stop to anyone going to Wales. We arrived and were treated like kings and queens during our stay. We stayed in one of the family rooms and it was clean and spacious. The castle has a great deal of history and character. The food was excellent and the staff was very helpful. The... More

We arrived very late - at about 10.45 but the staff opened their arms to us and showed us to our rooms, the bar was still open so once we had put our luggage away we went and sat by the fire and had a drink before bed. Our room was in the atrium and was lovely with a large... More

I went to a wedding at the castle. The room was dirty, there was blood marks on the sheets, the water in the shower was Luke warm. Poor nights sleep - as they used a wood head board on a Divan. The room hadn't been cleaned - there were old light bulbs lying around, and empty bottles of liquor in... More

Having responded to the customer direct - i merely reiterate some of my comments. On occasions we do get things wrong - we offer to resolve by having the customer come back to experience the Castle and receive the original percieved value. The same event has received good comments and feedback from other guests (including the bride). The bottle of... More

I had posted a review before seeing the one below which I think is from someone who attended my wedding on the 7th of April. So I asked to have the earlier review taken down so I can write a comprehensive one. To anybody thinking of booking Craig Y Nos for your wedding, do it!!! I agree check in should... More

Thank you for posting the response. It was extremely nice to hear your comments and for your thanking of the staff especially our extremely talented Wedding and Events Manager, Melissa. No doubt when she reads your comments she too will be over the moon - as will all the other staff that were on hand the day of your Wedding.... More

Stayed one night for a friend's wedding. Have to say they really don't seem to be able to cope with a large event. Check in to the rooms is later than most hotels - 3pm. We arrived at 2.30pm for the wedding which was due to start at 3pm, hoping that we would either be able to check in early... More

I am sorry that there was no hot water at the time you requested it, sadly, and whilst this is not an excuse the water comes on and off, ordinarily for enough people to have showers/baths etc prior to breakfast, however it appears that on this occasion there was not enough so the water heating was boosted- this normally takes... Craig-Y-Nos Castle is a must-see if you're in the area - and well worth travelling out of your way for a visit, too! The scenery and grounds couldn't be better: rolling hills, unspoilt woodland, a tranquil lake and river running past a summer house and under an age old bridge. Beautiful. The castle itself is the ideal setting for a... More

We stayed for a wedding and from reading the reviews I knew what to expect. The good points are it's a lovely location and an atmospheric castle. Our room was nice so no complaints on that score. The rest of the hotel feels somewhat a work in progress and for the price we paid (no other option as there were... More

Myself and my best friend stayed for one night on Sat 3rd March. Our room was of a good size, with wardrobe, hairdryer, tea, coffee etc etc, but the highlight was the bathroom - it was HUGE! Actually bigger than our room! It had a double shower cubicle, toilet, sink and a large stand only bath, very suited to the style... More

Stayed for a 2 night stay. lovely room but place quite cold but apparently this was the first weekend open after being shut for 2 months. Food was very good. We had a lovely bath in the room but the hot water ran out before I could finish filling it and the shower didn't fare much better. But the views... More
