Did a holiday trip for the first time with my boyfriend & our 2 dogs to the port fairy area. Was not sure what to expect from dog friendly accommodation - but what an awesome find!!! Cute, clean, cosy, lovely friendly staff & topped off by a barking cockatoo!!??!!! Would def stay again!!! :)

Four of us from the UK (all 30 years old) shared the Bondi Express on the second night of our Great Ocean Road trip in mid-April 2013. We were greeted by a talking Cockie (which amused us for the whole time we were there) as well as some cats and dogs. Geoff the owner, had made available a professional barbeque... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review, as I've said before, the vast majority of our visitors really enjoy their visit, but the last thing on peoples minds after an enjoyable holiday is going on the the web to write & post a review, so we do really appreciate it when they do. How did... More

We stayed in the Bondi Express train carriage. A 2 bedroom refurbished carriage. This carriage has so much potential but was let down by diy (I hope it was diy as I wouldn't have paid for the conversion) The entry carpet was stained and just looked dirty. The kitchen had ants. The fridge hadn't been turned on for us so... More

Absolutely Unbelievable! I am sorry, but I am exasperated by reviews such as this. You saw ants, you saw a dead spider, but you didn't see any of the other animals? Anyone that's stayed at our place will find that very difficult to believe, and, in actual fact, it establishes the grounds upon which your Absolutely Unbelievable review is founded.... More

Paradise Found! What a treasure to uncover, in terms of a stay for children we struck GOLD! Right from the start the children were sold on the delightful idea to convert train carriages into accommodation. Once we arrived they were excited and captivated by the spacious grounds of a lovely country setting complete with lively domestic flora and fauna. There... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review, we understand that after a nice holiday guests intend sitting down and posting a review, but once home other priorities prevail and this issue becomes more distant. And, fair enough too! But the vast majority of our guests express shear joy after their stay here, and it's very... More

This was our 2nd stop on our Great Ocean Drive weekend roadtrip and admittedly, we didn't really do much research, we googled and the pictures looked good so we booked. As soon as you drive onto the property (which is a way from Port Fairy but please remember this is no city so of course things are going to be... More

Thanks for your review. The Doona is actually a Bedspread, we don't use Doona's we set the beds up "old style" with 100% Cotton Sheets & Pillow Cases & 100% Pure Wool Blanket. The Bedspread is to finish the bedroom off with a nice decorative touch. So, sorry about you feeling uncomfortable with the bed cover. Anyway, we hope to... More

We stayed here for one night while driving the Great Ocean Road between Melbourne and Adelaide. We'd originally planned to stay in Port Fairy but so glad we didn't. We booked one of the converted train carriages. They're not luxurious but they are comfortable and more than adequate, plus excellent value for money. The owner Geoff was friendly, helpful and... Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review and for the encouraging comments. The "distance" to our property from Port Fairy seems to be a topical issue, some see it as a negative to off-set, others see it as a major positive reason to come and stay with us. People do love this region, but frequently... More

Thank you, we really appreciate that you took the time to write a review giving potential guests a better overall perspective of our property. From the moment we arived to the moment we left the only words coming out of my mouth were 'WOW' and 'AMAZING!'. I can't give the place enough praise, but I will try. Brilliant, it's just so rewarding for Yuan & I when guests enjoy their stay here with us. You're comments are reflective of what we're trying to achieve and along with such a large majority of our guests you've enjoyed the concept. Thanks for your input. Please come again, we've got Mini Horses now too. More

Arriving at Codrington Gardens we were surprised at how beautiful the place was. Firstly, we arrived and took rest in the 'Settlers Cottage' - Which I must say was very cozy and complete with all the things you need on a holiday. Great, thanks, you've pointed out all the things we've tried so hard to achieve and all the benefits we feel are on offer when you stay on our property. We look forward to your return.
