If I had read the reviews before booking and paying for our one night B&B we would have looked elsewhere but on arrival Michele made us very welcome, went out of her way to alter one of our bookings as our friend could not manage too many stairs to her single room. Our room was in the old house which... More

Michele rang us in the morning to check our arrival time. We were met on arrival and shown to our room. Beautiful views over the lake, large warm comfy room, that slept four of us and lots of information on the history of the house and local area. Breakfast was lovely and the children enjoyed making their own. Thank you

Lovely B&B that is part of the Brympton estate so when they do weddings at the main house the B&B is closed. Our room was huge, very clean, the beds were comfy and the sheets smelled delicious. In our bathroom we had a lovely old roll top bath. The views were simply stunning and we had a quick wander around... More

Fawlty towers must seem like 5 star hotel compared to this place. Breakfast: terrible, Food removed before we had eaten. Rooms: dirty, Staff: rude, Prices: very high. Dishwashing: done by hand!!! I have never been in a worse B&B, hope noone will ever go there!

Stayed here twice whilst working in the area, and it is the cheapest place and in my opinion the nicest. Its part castle part stately home, but the rooms are cosy and modern. Its a self service breakfast which works well for me, I would definately return here with my family if i was visiting the area. If you need... More

An interesting experience was had by the guests at a wedding held at Brympton House/The Fat Pigeon. Myself and two others arrived on the day before the wedding, at about 5.15pm after driving down from London. Upon entry we went to the main entrance of Brympton House, and had to look around for staff to help us. We were told... More

I am the Michele the Manager of the Fat Pigeon. In the first place I must make it very clear that this guest stayed as a B&B guest of the Fat Pigeon on Friday night and not as a wedding guest at Brympton House. Unfortunately, it appears that she was led to believe that the wedding party had hired Brympton... More

On arriving at this B&B last weekend, there was no one to be seen,a hand written note was left in the entrance hall giving my instructions. I went to my room and fancied a shower after a nine hour drive but realised no towels had been left out, when i put the kettle on to make a coffee, that was broken,i had... More

Given the mixed reviews we were a little apprehensive but our experience was excellent: we found clean and comfortable rooms, received friendly, speedy and efficient service, enjoyed a range of choices for a very adequate continental breakfast ( special dietary requests made at time of on- line booking were all provided without further prompting). A beautiful, historic property in a... More

My family and I visited this B&B last weekend, there is no reception so we had to phone and announce our arrival . Our room was not fully prepared even though we" checked in at 6pm,our fifth bed was brought up, but we then had to ask for more towels as there was one towel between 5! The shower leaked,... More

Dear Ms Epsom Thank you for your review - we use every review, both positive and negative to improve our performance. In your case you had booked [and paid for] a family room sleeping 4; you asked me over the telephone if we could squeeze another child into the room. I agreed at no extra charge. I did not set...
