Nice location, but the rooms are a little rundown. Could have been cleaned a bit better. Needs updated! The A/C didn't work. The grounds around the pool and facing the ocean are nice, manicured, and clean. This could be a hidden gem. Stayed 3 nights which I wish I had booked elsewhere but didn't have a lot of options. Room not clean (mould in the bathroom sink), there was water leaking through the roof in the bedroom / lounge. Read some of the reviews and was apprehensive but had no choice after being caught in Tannum Sands during recent Qld floods.....We were pleasantly suprised.....Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful....the views were fantastic......great location on the Millenium Esplanade......We will definately be back for a longer stay under better circumstances later this year!

booked two "ocean view rooms" got there to find we were booked into 1 room out the back, two blokes after a big day of driving from Brisbane, the most incencere appology suggesting they tried to call, no missed calls.... Breakfast was inedible black burnt toast, eggs like rubber, beds not good... bigg disappointment.

We were on holiday, not working out back of Bourke, where you would expect to find this quality, it looks good outside, so we were fooled into accepting a room, The ceiling fan squeaked our greeting, followed by taps dripping in chorus in the bathroom. The motel Tannum on the Beach is the worst motel we have ever had the misfortune to book into . The room was dirty and required maintenance. Additionally, it was overpriced. We booked in for two weeks, however, only could handle one night. Further, what was disappointing, he tried to charge for the whole two weeks. Do not go there.

The were a number of vertical blinds missing. The room had a funny arrangement: a single bed with a double bed against the wall. There was cereal and toast included but nothing special for $140. The walls were paper thin and they didn't really block out any outside noise.
