The hotel is beautiful, almost right in the middle of town.. To enter, you need to be able to walk up the ramp of beautiful stones (which I think is gorgeous and unique, but hard for some to "climb"). The restaurant has a varied menu, the food is good, but I really dislike the "two-for-one drinks". They really charge you... More

Unfortunately we arrived at this hotelat 6pm and had to leave again at 5am. We had a quick look round the hotel wich was quite amazing. Our room for the night was clean and nice. The food was good and the service excellent. When we arrived we went for a walk in the town which was well worth seeing. However,... More

This was our first night stay on the way to the Copper Canyon with Mexico Yacht Vacations.A beautiful old mansion downtown El Fuerte .The hotel has large and clean rooms, beautiful gardens , a swimming pool next to the palapa and the bar.The meals are fantastic and the service equaled the meals.Legend has that it was once the residence of... Stereotypical Mexican hotel and I mean that in the nicest way. It is like Disney designed this hotel. This is just what I was looking for. Brightly colored Piñatas and paper flowers on the ceiling, pool side thatch roof covering the casual dining area, fish bowl sized drinks, enchiladas, mole, giant prawns, all at an affordable price. There are formal... More

We arrived via the early evening flight to Los Mochis & by car to El Fuerte. There was very little time to explore the hotel and even less the town, but we did have a beautiful room with windows on either side of the room. We were told that we would have to leave the hotel to catch our train... More

We arrived after long journey from Mexico City and were welcomed with a great Margarita. The hotel is the house that El Zorro lived in for the first ten years of his life before his parents moved to Los Angeles. We had a ground floor room overlooking the statue of El Zorro. The room was fairly basic, but well decorated... More

I stayed next door at the gorgeous Hotel El Fuerte but came over to eat dinner and see the widely advertised Zorro performance. Unfortunately no other tourists were there when I arrived and so the Zorro performance was canceled. Drat! i had hurried over after a long day on the Copper canyon train to make it in time... best not... More

Our last hotel in Mexico on the Copper Canyon train circuit was the best. Good air conditioning (you'll need it). Close to the market and more reasonable eating options. My only complaint is that although they have a computer, they won't let you print out a boarding pass on it. More

the hotel is about 8km from the train station of the Chepe. We enjoyed our stay with exception of the arrival. We were expected by a driver from the hotel (although we hadn't booked a transfer), the front desk clerk said it's an attention that we had to pay for. This is not very logical, and it's not about the... More
