We were here for 3 nights and couldn't have enjoyed it more. Was easy to find with ample parking and nearby shops. Some brochures show it as Nelson but it's in the suburb of Richmond really and that's no bad thing as it's away from the worst of the traffic (Nelson was one of a very few places where we... More

We came with a baby in tow and found the one bed room (with a double in the lounge/kitchen area) perfect for us. Added to that was the balcony and pool and we spent a comfortable couple of nights here recuperating(!) before heading onwards. Angela was very kind and helpful and Jon flexible when we changing our booking at short... More

Park is a very modern and very clean and nicely appointed motel. We stayed one night yesterday in a room that fronted the road. While most small twins in NZ close down early in NZ, the hotel sits on the main highway that leads out of town and it can be occasionally noisy. If you are a heavy sleeper it... More

Our units closest to the road are undoubtedly the ones where guests unaccoustomed to night noise may hear the traffic noise during the night however all of these have been treated to minimise the impact of traffic noise. The treatment includes hush glass which provides an acoustic barrier proven to exceed that provided by double glazing, acoustic linings to the... More

I arrived at the Parkside Motel on the evening of January 7, 2013 having sailed from Wellington to Picton that afternoon. The Parkside was perfectly located for my travel plans. It was easy to find and got me past Nelson and prepared to move through the northernmost mountains on my way to Greymouth the next day. The people at reception... More

We are pleased Terry enjoyed the room. We strive to ensure our accommodation and service we provide is consistantly high. The airconditioning unit is appropriately sized for the room and if operated correctly will ensure the room is maintained at a constant comfortable temperature. Unfortunately, occasionally, we find that previous guests change the sytems settings and this can affect how... More

We stayed for 1 night just after Christmas and had a great time. The room was great, very clean with all the amenities and the service was outstanding from the friendly owners. It is a great location. The pool is lovely and heated and backs on to a nice park. We took a bike ride to nearby Brightwater which was... More

Great to read these guests enjoyed their stay. We are 150m accross a park to the newly developed cycle trail that runs from Nelson City south to Brightwater and west to Rabbit Island, Mapua and ultimately towards Kaiteriteri. Our guests are increasingly taking advantage of the opportunity to explore the Tasman District by bike while staying at our motel. More

I stayed with my 2 teenage children in a 2 bedroom apartment for 6 nights in December 2012. We absolutely loved this motel! Our apartment (No 10) was at the back of the complex looking out over the beautiful swimming pool and large sports field/park at the back (where my son played cricket in the evenings). The accommodation was very... More

On the main road so best to get one of the rooms near the back if you are a light sleeper, but even near the road the noise is not too bad. The units are large and the owners go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. The pool looked very inviting but we didn't have time to... More

We had a 1 bed room suite. This place was basically brand new. All the facilities were excellent.
