We visited Old entrance as a family group. We greatly enjoyed the rustic and remote feel of this river side site. We also appreciated the no nonsense hospitality if you needed advice you just had to ask other than this you were left alone to enjoy the environment. We stayed in the white cabin it was perfect for our needs... More

We stayed here during labor day weekend of 2011. I booked this place based on tripadvisor reviews and didnt want to stay in the park :). I also wanted a unique teepee experience. It was wonderful. the teepee is comfortably sized and neat and unique. The teepees are laid out by the river bank and you hear the sound of... More

My son and I came here to experience a night in the teepee, best idea ever, no need to pack much cause this is a ready made campsite. The grounds are beautiful and the people as well, I felt secure and free here. My son was not able to go on the horse trail but the owners filled the void... More

Totally loved our stay. Just one nite so did not do any riding or hiking. Cooked steaks, corn and potatoes in foil on the grill. On the way into town there is a shopping center with groceries, dollar store, and walmar. Saw lots of Animals on highway between jasper. The teepee beds were fine and too warm for the stove.

My sister and I sent 4 nights in the Brown Cabin and thoughly enjoyed the stay. The cabin is rustic but comfortable. Each cabin has it's own firepit and BBQ for outdoor cooking and enjoyment, The horses roaming free are entertaining (they like to tip over lawn chairs) and Rosie the dog would occasionaly come for a visit. The staff... More

We stayed at the brown cabin for 3 nights. The place is rustic with fireplace and kitchenette facilities. We enjoyed the tranquility and scenic surroundings. A bit disappointed that no clean up services (things like making beds, changing towels or clear garbage) were provided during our whole stay. Breakfasts were okay, it would be better if hot items and more... More

This was a beautiful place! It was a great trip for us to have some rest and relaxation. We stayed for 3 days in the brown cabin (had the best view in our opinion). Myself, my husband, our 7 month old baby and our dog. Perfect set up for our family. The breakfast was excellent as well. The owners were... More

We booked the guest suite in the main house instead of a cabin, since all we really wanted was a warm bed to sleep in. They don't usually rent it out in winter, but the hosts made an exception for us. I'd probably get a cabin next time. Quite a comfortable suite, and the only disappointment was that to get... More

beautiful location with pretty flowered meadows on rugged mountain ridges. The rustic cabin was quaint and tastefully decorated. Nightime fires overlooking the Athabasca river were memorable events . The horses roam freely which adds to the outdoorsy feel.Great home cooked edibles await your sampling in the morning at the renovated historic train depot. I would definitely visit here again!

Sorry for the late review. This place is so special, we visited in late November 2010 when the snow was on the ground. The cabin was ready for use when we got there with a log fire burning, what a start. Our stay was peaceful, tranquil and spectacular. Nothing was too much trouble during our stay, this was an highlight... More
