Considering there aren't many other options in the area, the Waterloo Inn is a decent place to stay. The place has a bit of a dated appearance and could use a renovation, but the rooms are adequate and I slept well. I did however find the carpets to be quite dusty. Staff were reasonable and there is lots of free... More

Stayed several days here while at a nearby conference. Room was spacious, linens and towels were excellent. Staff were friendly based on my experience. Fridge and wi-fi were also nice to have. Pool and exercise area as well as an inner flower-covered courtyard were also nice. A few nuances; automatic doors leading away from reception, always seemed a bit late... More

Our son recently graduated from U of Waterloo. He was in the co-op program so we had to go and drop him off or pick him up every four months .....with all his 'stuff'. The Waterloo Inn is the perfect place to stay. Ask for a room on the first floor and you can park your vehicle ....loaded with 'stuff'... More

We booked this place as it was a last minute trip for a long weekend and not many places left to pick from. I was a bit nervous from reading other reviews, but I have to say we loved our stay here. The hotel is under some renovations and our rooms we very tastefully done and comfortable, I asked for... More

Stayed at the Waterloo Inn for a conference in early May. Room was OK but a bit small. Had a fabulous two-person standup shower (no bathtub) which was really cool, complete with the hand held nozzle. The bath towels were THE nicest and most luxurious I have ever experience in a hotel. Here is my big complaint on service. The... More

We only stayed one night last November. There weren't many other decent options and this one was recommended by the host of the dinner party that we went to Waterloo for. I can't say I was overwhelmed by the place but then again there was nothing terribly wrong with it either. The check in process was fine but we didn't... More

I stay in the Waterloo Inn a few times a year. For anyone who has stayed in hotels in the region, they would know that generally the standard is not very high. There are a lot of old, shabby hotels in the area, even those run by the big names. On this stay I was delighted to see that my... More

We were in town for a dance competition and stayed for 3 nights. On the 3rd morning we requested housekeeping on our door. When we returned at 5:00 p.m. the room had not been cleaned. Spoke to the front desk and was assured it would be cleaned after 6:00 when the night time housekeeping staff arrived. At 7:20 we called... More

Always clean, always comfortable. Staff nice and professional. We stay here whenever in the KW area and have never had any problems. The hotel is generally pretty quiet so it is a great place if you have small children and they love the small pool.

Stayed for ringette tournament. Wanted to check out a day early and was charged $89.99 + tax as early checkout penalty. We were there for 3 days and gave notice on first day that we wanted to check out early. Tried to follow up via email with hotel manager, no success. Breakfast buffet was weak at best.

We appreciate your feedback. All conditions for the group were made clear at the time of the original group booking and signing of the contract in June of 2012. Your group had a seven day prior to arrival cancellation and hence notifying the hotel on the day of arrivals did not meet the conditions set in the contract. We are... More
