You will find the hotel behind the gas station. Had to sign a piece of paper that stated if of pets caused any damage we would have to pay, how would they ever know the place is in such a poor state of repair. Parking is brutal. Really there is not much positive to report here.

Staff were pleasant but a bit odd that you check in at the gas station and there isn't service after 10pm. Rooms clean but very dated and area feels a bit rough. Price higher than it should be for this experience but it was a busy time. No breakfast- no frills.

Very small room..no a/c the shower is very small. The owner decide to vacuum his car right under our window at 7 am. We still did not received our 100$ deposit after 13 days. No ice but you have soap shampoo and everything else. They have a little place in the middle of 4rth room like a fridge with some discussing stuff frozen in it. Go somewhere else if you can!

Best advice is to avoid this place like the plague. Overpriced for what is essentially a dingy room with a TV. Beds are lumpy and uncomfortable. Room has no closet space - actually has no space period. The bathroom floor actually slants, which is somewhat disconcerting. The entire astablishment needs a lot of TLC to bring it up to the level of poor. On the positive side, the attached gas station serves perfectly fine gas…

Phoned and booked two rooms with Jaca for my business. I was quoted a price but when we arrived they said they had misquoted and due to renovations they had to charge more. After some back and forth banter they finally agreed to the set price. We had requested a cot for one of the rooms. They stated they had no one available to carry one up. Said we could carry it ourselves. $10.00 extra/night. OK fine. But NO now they say the cot wouldn't fit and that we would need another room! Screw it - ended up at a different hotel Best decision ever. Would never stay there or recommend to anyone either!

Kenora is very busy during the summer months, so I was very happy to get a room on such short notice as I was traveling back to Alberta after being in Ontario on business . Although the room was smaller with only a double bed, everything was spotlessly clean and up to date. The location is on the main highway and the local lake. My only concern is with parking. The stalls are very small and the person who parked next to me blocked my driver door making my early departure difficult to say the least. I had also planned on having breakfast at their restaurant but there was no place to park either. All in all a great value for a short term stay, just watch where you park.

We stayed one night on the long week-end as it seemed to be the only place with a vacancy. When we called just before leaving friends, they informed us we didn't have a reservation. We had reserved 2 rooms 2 weeks prior but our friends had to cancel out. We called to cancel the one room but said we were keeping ours. Well somehow we weren't in the system. The person on the phone really had no idea what they were doing and this conversation went back and forth for about 20 minutes, when she finally said well your lucky we still have one room available. I'm sure it was ours the whole time. Just very disorganized. We just crossed our fingers that when we got there we would have a room... We did get a room and when we opened the door the hallway just wreaked of pot. I guess we still have to get used to that. The walls were paper thin so you could hear everything. It's like the place is trapped in a time warp. The yellow tub and sink from the 70's. Carpet probably hasn't been replaced since then either. There was a pizza box up on a shelf with old pizza in it, probably from the last guests ewww. Old comforters from the 70's i'm guessing. We only had a half roll of toilet paper and no extra rolls. We came we slept and we showered and left. No frills if you just need a bed it's adequate. The picture shown must be a newer room, ours definitely didn't look like that.

Booked ahead for this motel as we were travelling across Canada. The motel is a few kilometres from the middle of the town. The room was pretty basic but adequate as all we wanted to do was eat, rest and sleep. Staff accommodating to our needs.

Last motel available that night, cheap and easy to get to. Rooms were very small, no dressers or cupboards for clothing. Not suffient for family with 3 kids. Not the most secure place for locks. Wouldn't stay there again because beds were horrible to sleep on, better to spend extra money and go sonewhere else.
