Our first bed and breakfast. Romantic Victorian House. Perfect location. A shelter has opened up in the old church across from the bed and breakfast. Very close to downtown. Lots of character buildings, very old, located all over Kenora. We walked everywhere. Parked on the street. I felt very safe. Very close to No frills or Safeway. The hosts Craig and Rob and (Emma of course) were amazing, very friendly, wonderful stories, amazing adventures. The house has 4 different rooms to rent. We lucked out and stayed in the attic. 2 flight of stairs. A wonderful great space. Windows the opened up to allow fresh air, our own thermostat, a very comfortable bed. The only thing i did not care for was not having a locking door to "our space" We were the only ones in the house. The house has a lot of history. The hosts are very proud to share the history. The decor is very vintage, the second floor bath and shower area is soooo beautiful. Breakfast was beyond what we were expecting. Not your standard eggs and bacon. We were soooo full. The coffee was so good. The little teaspoons were so cute. I need to look for those in the antique store. The yard is "parklike" setting. A pond with fish, flowers, trees and lots of sitting space. All fenced in. I would recommend for anyone to stay here. Sad to see the property is for sale. Im sure who ever buys it will love it! Best of luck to Rob and Craig in their future endeavors! I forgot to ask the what the story is with the miscellaneous pigs placed throughout the house. Im sure its an awesome story. Thanks again for making our anniversary a great one!

I was lucky to have one night at this lovely B&B. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The location is very central. The bed I slept in was so comfortable that I didn't want to get up. Delicious breakfast too. I would definitely return.

I stayed at the Kendal house with two different friends, once in June travelling to Winnipeg, and once in August returning to Ottawa. The hosts are most welcoming and friendly, very gracious and even found my lost water bottle for my dog which they had waiting for me on my return. The house is beautifully restored and the rooms are very comfortable - amazing beds which ensured an amazing sleep. The location is walking distance to all amenities in Kenora, and the hosts are very knowledgeable about the area, including the local culture and activities and community life in the town. I highly recommend this place and hope to be able to stay again. Pat Ottawa, Ontario

I am not normally a bed and breakfast kind of girl, but I now think differently thanks to the amazing owners of Kendall House in Kenora. I felt so at home here I actually had a hard time walking away from the property. The hosts Craig and Rob are great people, so much fun and easy to talk too! The house itself is a beautiful historic home on a large lot with the most amazing back yard for those visiting in the summer months. The location is perfect with everything you need within a couple of blocks. Breakfast was terrific, and the coffee much better than anything severed at the local restaurants in town. Oh and for those of you concerned with cleanliness, Kendall House is cleaner than any hotel I have been too, and I am hard to please : ) Keep up the amazing work gentlemen <3

We stayed at Kendall House while in Kenora for the Hedley concert. Location was perfect. Short walk to where the pavilion is located, and even shorter walk to Lake of the Woods Brewery:) The owners of Kendall House are extremely friendly, and are genuinely interested in their guests. Beautiful old house, and a fantastic breakfast to start the day! Spent the extra $20 for the attic room. Worth the money to have your own bathroom. Maybe not a big deal to some, but admittedly, I'm a little higher maintenance than most! Will definitely return to Kendall House next time in Kenora.

For my first stay at a bed and breakfast, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the hosts made me feel at home in their home. Kendall House has wonderful history which the hosts shared and it's clear that they have a passion for hospitality! With excellent advice on where to visit and eat and their enthusiasm for their community, I felt at ease and at home. They are quite the cooks as well! I would highly recommend staying at the Kendall House if you are up in Kenora, within walking distance of amenities and for its wonderful hosts!

I had an excellent visit at Kendall. The hosts were very hospitable and knowledgeable of the area, not to mention superb cooks (the breakfast was amazing!). Having never been to Kenora, the location of this B&B was very central and I could walk to most sites around the area. All of the rooms were very clean and neat.

A charming old home, tastefully decorated with comfort and charm in mind. A gourmet breakfast was served at our convenience. Overall a very pleasant experience. We look forward to returning to Kendall House on future trips to Kenora.

Great hosts, great food, great location. My wife and I stayed there four nights in August. Both Rob and Craig went the extra mile to ensure that we were welcomed both to their B & B and to the city of Kenora. I would have given five stars but, having overlooked the fact that the rooms on the second floor share bathroom facilities, we realize how spoiled we have become. If you prefer an ensuite bathroom, make sure you reserve the attic suite for a complete five star experience.

We were welcomed to Kendall House by Craig who gave us a tour and shared some of the history of the house. The location is perfect - easy to find and a short walk to the harbour, restaurants and downtown. Breakfast was amazing and prepared to fit our time schedule. Thanks again Craig and Rob.
