Great property, beautifully decorated. Located near town center with beatiful waterfront view. Accomodating hostess. Gave excellent restaurant recommendations. Inventive breakfast. Wonderful experience!

There is good reason this place is called Heritage Home, not Heritage House. You'll feel right at home as soon as you arrive.
Such a nice place to stay! As budget travellers we usually opt for hostels. Instead, HH gave us the opportunity for some respite in a private, quaintly-decorated room, fully decked out in Victorian garb, a very comfortable...

We very much enjoyed our two nights at Juana Moreland's lovely, comfortable and interesting Heritage Home B&B. The 144-year-old stately home is beautiful and the numerous and gorgeous antiques certainly add to its charm. The B&B truly is very much museum-like with so many things to see and admire. Juana is a most personable and pleasant hostess and definitely made...

Our stay at "The Heritage House" was our last night of what had been a fantastic trip through the east coast...and what a way to finish! Our stay was wonderful and though we had to both arrive late (9:30pmish) and depart early 7:30am the following day, we were still pampered during our short stay and Juana went to great lengths...

Juana Moreland's Heritage Home B&B is the best we have experienced anywhere! Juana was a super hostess. The rooms were exquisitely appointed, the bed was very comfortable, the bath was spotless and there was lots of hot water and plenty of amenities. The view was superb, looking right at the water, just down the street from the ferries. Breakfast was...

We visited from Oregon for the Celtic Colours Festival. We stayed 3 nights at The Heritage House. The Lavender Fields room was comfortable. Juana serves lovely breakfasts and makes you feel very welcome. We enjoyed lively conversations with other guests at breakfast. Overall a great B&B.
We stayed at Juana's Heritage Home Bed and Breakfast for several nights at the end of September. On arrival, Juana phoned to make reservations at her favourite Lobster Pound restaurant, but it was fully booked. She then suggested anther restaurant that we went to and enjoyed tremendously. Our accommodation, full of antiques, was spotless and comfortable. A super place to...

A lovely/accommmodating hostess sharing her beautiful/spotless heritage home. Breakfast was delicious and a great start to our morning. Excellent location minutes from the ferry terminal. Within walking distance of the Lobster House, which Juana recommended, and probably the best meal we had on our month-long journey of the Maritimes.
We stayed nearly a week in Heritage Home during our exploration of Cape Breton. Juana was generous with advice about things to do and restaurants to visit locally. Our room, the Cottage, was pleasant and comfortable with a direct outside door. Juana accomodated our interest in early coffee by leaving everything set up--we just had to plug it in and...

Our stay at Heritage Home this summer was a real treat! Juana is a tremendous host—helpful without being overbearing in suggesting places to eat dinner—and our room (the Rose Trellis) was charming and absolutely spotless. Come the morning, we ate like kings, as Juana served pretty much all of the things we could have possibly wanted for breakfast. We will...
