this hotel is a joke. sure the area is nice and there are alot of beautiful hiking trails but i would suggest that you stay in golden or somewhere close
the hot tub was not working when i was there and the hotel needs some updates
its a shame that the upkeep just isnt there, the view is BEAUTIFUL!

Uncomfortable bed, too-hot room, outdated furnishings, tacky gift shop, out-of-order hot tub. The bath tub in our room had a slow leak. Despite the rule against cooking in rooms the hallway reeked of garlic. All in all the place was over-priced and uncomfortable. The only way I'd stay here again is in an emergency.

Several trails begin from right next to the lodge. The location is fantastic. They also have a working sauna. Rooms are pretty basic but spacious. Internet is really slow but that's good because you must be outdoors when you visit Roger's pass. Restaurant has good breakfast.

There is one single word describing this hotel - it is DATED. Someday at the better times (in the 1950s) I guess it was a nice hotel on the way from Vancouver to beautiful Rockies. Not any longer.
