Our last visit was in 1979 so we didn't know what to expect. We had a warm welcome when we arrived. We were in a superior room with a view of the pool and the lake. The room was spacious and cozy with a lovely 4 poster bed. La Sapinière Hotel is the perfect place to relax. We took a... More

We stayed for two nights last week. The rooms are average but the dining and service is outstanding. The hotel staff was most helpful to accommodate and answer our questions. A plus for people who cross country sky or snowshoe, is that you get free passes to access, from their site, Parc Dufresne. There is a variety of trails that... More

I recently stayed at this location. It is situated in the Laurentiens North of Montreal. The rooms are tired... but the Dining was amazing. Very good selection and very impressive from soups to dessers. I think I gained a few pounds!! More

This hotel reminded me of a French Country Inn. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but in a very beautiful setting in the Laurentian mountains area, right on a small lake. It's a great place for a quiet, romantic getaway. The public area was large and spacious and beautifully decorated in a country style. There was also... More

We had a suite for the weekend: loud air conditioning, old furniture, terrible beds. Restautant service is very poor: many people running around like headless chickens, we were offered wine after we had already eaten 2 courses, they made a mistake in our bill, we had to ask to get bread. Stay away from this place: a disappointment. More

We stayed here about a week ago and are disapointed with the quality of the room. These places are very old and in desperate need of upgrade, especially the beds. It was clean, but very dated. The drinks at the lobby/bar were very expensive at around 8$ a pop. Pool area was nice and the river was nice.. Free use... More

Hi! (please excuse my english) My boyfriend and I went to la Sapinière this week-end and the experience was not so bad. After reading all the comments, we tough that it will be horrible, but yes, the place is old and smelly, but the location and the food is really really good! We ate wapiti and scalopp and both was... How did they manage to get 4*???? It's a joke. The place stinks as you get in - mold and worn out carpets from around the 60th. The whole place is totally gone down the drain, and need a major renovation. They should charge cheap motel prices as what their state is now. The room looked so dated and not... More

This place has charm. The food is great and authentic. There is a huge roaring homey fireplace on the first floor that you can light on your own with their wood. They have some large picturesque great rooms overlooking the mini-lake and they have some small crummy rooms. My advice is to ask to be switched, like we did, if... More

This was our second winter visit to the hotel. Our first visit was two years ago. The purpose of our trip was to cross-country ski. The hotel has over 130 km of groomed beginner, intermediate and expert trails outside its door. The room rate includes a pass to use the trails. The hotel serves very good meals. The level of...
