We took 2 nights + 2 breakfast + 2 dinner and enjoyed the spa. We also register for massage. Amazing place for celebrating romantic birthday. Everything was perfect. Nothing more to say.

Promotional map on website gives the very misleading impression that this hotel is in the centre of Val-David village - it's actually 3 km out, on a fairly busy and mostly unwalkable road, in a ticky-tacky neighborhood beyond the long-closed Mont Plante ski area. You have to ski or walk through that neighborhood and along a bit of the road...

Nestled in the heart of the Laurention Mountains in Val David Quebec, The Auberge du Vieux Foyer Hotel offers a CLEAN comfortable place at a reasonable price. I stayed for the last 2 nights for a work retreat and the stay was great. They have nice facilities with a mixture of the central hotel and various "houses" for accommodations.

We snuck away for a long weekend at Auberge du Vieux Foyer. We are not skiers, but went for rest & relaxation. The surrounding grounds are quaint and Swiss-like and there is a fireplace with comfy furniture, a piano and games outside the lobby area, nice to sit and read or socialize. We had no problems with checking in or...

I spent two nights at the Auberge du Vieux Foyer on a work retreat with approximately 25 other colleagues. The facilities were great - my room was big, clean, modern and bright. The food was good, and the staff were friendly.
I had never been to this area of Quebec, but it was beautiful. I would definitely stay there again...

Food was superb, traditional French-Canadian cusine was excellent like sugar pie, steak, shrimp, great Cesar salad, some odd combinations on the menu like Pina Colada chicken, and anise creme brulee (why anise?) however sticking to standard preparations of striploin steak and filet mignon was excellent....even the veg was perfectly cooked. Often the edible "dessert bowls" for sorbet are at best...

The renovated rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The food is excellent -- breakfast and 4-service dinner -- but service was very slow at dinner. The Auberge is close to a great network of cross-country skiing/biking trails (Parc Dufresne). All in all, I felt welcomed and enjoyed my stay there.

We just returned from four days and a wonderful stay at the Auberge du Vieux Foyer. Attentive and friendly service, delicious and beautifully presented dinners, filling breakfasts and cross country skiing from the door were just a few of its great features. A newly finished spa was very welcome after a strenuous day on the trails and the rooms were...
