Cabins are of a very high standard, although like a previous reviewer we had to change cabin due to a smell of gas. It might be worth specifying a wood burning stove cabin to avoid this. The location is very good to access the trans Canada highway to Lake Louise, Field and Golden, but a small downside of a little... More

We stayed at this lodge in September. I had read all the trip advisor comments and went with an open mind. This was one of 6 places we stopped in Canada. I will start with positives we had a delux lodge, and it was okay. A little small and next to lots of other lodges. They informed us we had... More

Despite the beauty of the lodge, cabins, riverside setting, mountains, excellent staff and breakfast--- if you want peace and quiet, crave peace and quiet, DO NOT STAY HERE. The train, the trucks, the traffic --- right next to the hotel. Look at any map. The traffic hurls by night and day. If all this doesn't bother you, you'll love it... More

First of all: the cabins: duplex and single, the latter with a fire place. We stayed in a duplex: a beautiful, spacious and tastefully arranged room and a large bathroom plus a verandah. All in wood, nice details/decorations, a large comfortable bed, a tea/coffee maker and a fridge, a small table and two chairs and a gas heater. All designed... More

We stayed here in July on our summer camping trip. We had intended on staying at the Kicking Horse campground just across the road from this hotel but got there only to find the campground closed due to a winter avalanche that took out some of the facilities. I guess we should have done a bit more research before we... More

We stayed here as part of a longer family holiday travelling around Canada. It was by far the worst place we stayed in,despite the fact that we have stayed in a variety of accommodation from luxury( Wick Inn,Tofino ),to family budget condos. This was the 5th of six places we stayed at. Our major complaint was that the website is very... More

I traveled here with my family for a birthday trip for my mother. We stayed in a loft cabin to sleep 4. The overall experience was positive, in particular the friendliness of the staff, quality of the restaurant, excellent breakfast buffet, views and setting. Location is out of town, so it is very serene. Near Field, a cute town to... More

We had a comfortable bed at Cathedral Mountain Lodge and our son found it enchanting with a ladder to the loft, but there is no master bedroom or much privacy to the loft. It's all open. The lighting was dim and it was difficult to read and there was limited place to put your suitcases and no drawers for clothes.... More

My husband and I stayed her for 4 nights celebrating our anniversary. We felt the entire stay was wonderful. We really critique every inn and lodge we stay at. Cathedral mountain exceeded our expectations. Not sure why people are saying the staff was not up to par....they were so good that I wrote a letter to the manager telling him... More

We were very excited to be staying at this place. The website made it appear that it was a luxurious lodge with excellent dining and beautiful rooms in a tranquil place. Well, not quite what we experienced. The location is beautiful near the river but it is very close to the main highway and the railway line. - not very... More
