I have stayed here twice; once on a getaway with my husband, and once with a friend for a girls' weekend. This is a wonderful place with gorgeous, stylish rooms, amazing breakfasts and gracious hosts. You can enjoy the peace, quiet and unobstructed view, uncork a bottle of wine, bask in the hot tub, open a good book, and never... More

Thanks Stella for your review. I am really happy that you found our place welcoming when you came for a romantic get-away and also when you came for a girl's weekend away. I look forward to seeing you again soon. More

Objectively, this is a gorgeous, immaculate, stylish place to stay. I love the polished concrete floors and wood finishes. Heidi provides great service and the food is fantastic. Still, there were a few things that led us to decide that we probably wouldn't return. I thought I'd share these so that people with similar preferences would be fully informed. First... More

Thanks so mush for your review. I am glad you found our food and our place good. I do try to meet each of my guests just to say hello and let them know I am here to help if it is required. I find that breakfast is the best time to do this as I do not meet people... More

I had a wonderful stay! The breakfasts were amazing and fuelled me for my many adventures on the island. The beautiful sun was shining on the little patio outside my bedroom where I could rest while listening to the hummingbirds fly by as they fed from the hanging ruby feeders. The deer would stop grazing on plants and stare up... More

The primary thing to know is there is no shower. The bath is lovely, but if you plan to take a sweaty hike and clean off in the shower this is not for you. Most listings about this place do not make clear there is no shower. There is a detachable handle on the tub but without a surrounding curtain... More

Both rooms have showers. I has a standup shower. The other, the one with a jetted bath has a hand held shower. More

We stayed in Bowen Island Hideaway for 2 nights because we had a wedding on the island. It was a very secluded and comfortable place to stay. From our room we had a beautiful view on the lake, and spending time in the outside jacuzzi was very relaxing. It's a real hideaway! If you don't have a car or a... More

We stayed here for an overnight, had a nice lunch at Artisan Square and walked around Killarney Lake. Also looked at all the shops in town, they are offering some interesting stuff. The B and B is in a nice location, next to Killarney Lake, breakfast is served at 9:30 and brought to your room. We had a serving of... More

An absolutely brilliant stay. We stayed for 2 nights. We arrived on the island at lunch time with our bags and no transport. Heidi came to pick up our bags near the ferry terminal giving us a chance to walk to the BnB at our own pace without carrying bags. They even gave us a lift back on the day... More

We booked this bed and breakfast at the last minute to escape the city for a weekend. It was the most amazing weekend and we came back feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. The suites are so restful, luxurious, and have a beautiful view overlooking the lake. The breakfast was amazing and was of restaurant quality. We didn't have a car... More

A couple of friends and I stayed at Bowen Island Hideaway in May 2009. It was a wonderful stay; we even asked David & Heidi if we can move in! The suite is fantastic, the bed is comfortable and the views from the deck are amazing. My favorite part is the breakfast, which is to die for! We recommend staying... More
