We stayed in the Elephant Cottage which lists that it sleeps 6 but actually has enough beds for 7. We are a family of 4 and were quite comfortable. Our children are ages 4 and 1 and found the cottage very kid friendly. While in the cottage you have the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere but are... More

We had a group of 5 adults and stayed for 2 nights in Feb/13. The Elephant Cottage was absolutely superb and I would highly recommend the cabins !! The service was excellent and could not have been better !!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay !!

Appreciated the helpfulness of the staff especially Chrissi. We stayed in the level of the hostel where kitchen was. Walls are very thin and you could hear conversations very clearly from all the rooms. Not good for those wanting a bit of privacy. Private room didn't feel very private since the washroom is right beside and once again walls VERY... More

We stayed in one of two cottages at Surfs Inn. It was in the back of the property in the woods, very quiet since it was away from the road -- no view. It is small, but with 2 beds that can sleep 4 (one was in a loft). The cottage was very welll appointed so such a small space... More

The Surfs Inn is one of the best hostels I've stayed at so far - staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the common area is very spacious and there is even a garden area with a BBQ guests can use. There are only two dorms, so the athmosphere is very cosy. The location is also fabulous, it's right in the... More

This was the first time I stayed in Elephant Cottage, but my son, his wife & baby stayed last year and recommended we stay this year. We were 3 adults and one 2-year old. I was impressed with the place and we enjoyed our 10-day stay. Because the cottage is located at the back of the property, it's away from... More

Stayed in Kiwi Cottage which is one of the cottages offered by Surfs Inn in June 2012. Very nice cottage. Easily could sleep 4. Has kitchen and very nicely kitted out. The oven is a bit small and only 2 hobs if you plan to cook but overall very nice.

Enjoyed a week get-away with my teens .....this perfect little cabin tucked in the trees, but right in town, was awesome ! They have taken a tiny space and made it work ! Small kitchenette stocked with dishes ,2 burners and a sink worked great ~ we brought all our own food . BBQ was good for cooking the meats... More

This is was the second time i had stayed in the Elephant Cottage, and both times have been impressed. The cottage is placed at the back of the property so it is quiet, and the windows look out onto woods. Everything seemed to be very clean, and plenty of room for two couples or a family of 5. The gas... More

My 2 adult kids and I stayed 2 nights in the elephant cottage in December 2011. It was perfect for us. Clean, quiet, cozy, 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds, 2 nice bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and living room with fireplace. It felt more like home than the hotel rooms we've stayed in on past visits to explore the burly west... More
