never did we have such a great time leaving the camp site. so may laws with the rubber booted camp watch dog going around laying down the laws to the white people. people next to us say that never have they been scolded so often. to us it was a real life drama, looking at those people around us being... Just got back from camping with my daughter, and kayaking in Barclay Sound. Toquart bay was a great base to explore from. There was a bit of confusion with our booking, but it was sorted out when we arrived. Ended up getting a better (more secluded) site in the area including the 70s and 80s. No potable water was fixed... More

The resort managers were very accomodating for our 28 campers, then was kept up all night by noisy neighbours, the managers asked the noisy neighbours to quiet down all night then called the police to ask them to leave. The location is excellent !! Will definitely go back !!! The price is fantastic !!

I am local to the area and came to camp with my family. the first word of advice is bring your own toilet! The outhouses were disgusting we do a lot of camping and deal with having to use outhouses quite often but when people are gagging trying to get into them and the only time we saw anyone clean... We camped there on the weekend with our kids and Grandma and Grandpa. The staff was rude, angry, and aggressive. These people have no social skills and need some training in public relations. Our trip was not enjoyable. We will not go back unless there is new management I would like to know, is this park contracted out. The quality... More

We have stayed at Toquart Bay MANY times over the past 3 years since we moved to the island and EVERY stay was nothing short of spectacular.....beautiful scenery with the mountains, distant islands and we can't forget the eagles soaring overhead. We have met many wonderful people there and we all agree that it is a little piece of paradise... More

Called and paid for two nights up front with my credit card over the phone. THEN read the two previous reviews, but by then it was too late. Beautiful drive out there (passed a bear on the way) but when I pulled up it looked like a walmart parking lot, wall to wall trailers. Pulled up next to a few... More

Our cancellation policy is full refund with at least 2 weeks notice. All signs are clearly posted as to speed limits, parking areas and other important items. When people arrive and chose to ignore these instructions it causes inconvenience and safety issues for every other client. Our facility was obviously very busy at the time which makes it even more... More

We visited the campsite as part of an annual fishing trip. The location is perfect for accessing great fishing grounds. Almost immediately upon arrival the caretaker came unglued. He was ranting and swearing before we had even parked the vehicles. It was difficult to tell if he was impaired or just unbalanced. Regardless this man should not be anywhere near... More

We are a proffessional couple, we live in Tofino and enjoy out door recreation. We spend our weekends exploring backwoods locations and take advantage of the wonderful fishing oppritunities we have here. We visited the Touquart Bay B.C. Forest Campsite this weekend. We stopped to collect some oysters from the beach and enjoy some of the sunshine. We were having... More

It is unfortunate that this local couple chose not to recall the previous conversation we had about not using a camping area for day use. They were informed once before of the day use parking area and guidelines for day use, but instead decided to use a table to shuck oysters, leaving a slimy, stinking mess that can only be... More
