We used Trawscoed Mawr as a centre for a short tour of North Wales which it's position suited this purpose very well. The stay was supurb, friendly and we had such a warm welcome. The food was delightful from the home made Bayley's Brulee - highly recommended - to the Jams which I intended to use as gifts but ate... More

We first stayed here when attending a wedding in the area back in April. We occupied both the cream and blue rooms which were beautifully decorated with a large modern bathroom. The only problem was we had to leave the next morning without having a chance to explore our surroundings. We couldn't wait to go back so booked the Bakery... More

Another brilliant stay with Sandra & Chris in their lovely home away from it all. The room was very comfortable, the food fantastic with plenty of choice for vegetarians and carnivores and Sandra & Chris couldn't do enough for us to make us feel welcome from the moment we arrived to leaving. It was a real treat to watch the... More

We stayed at Trawscoed Mawr on a summer weekend while up in Corwen to go to a friend's wedding. The location is fantastic - hidden away in the hills so that you feel you are the only people within 50 miles, while in fact you're only about ten minutes from the main A5 road. Sandra was one of the friendliest... More

This was not our first visit to Trawscoed Mawr and we know it won't be our last! Sandra and Chris welcomed us like old friends yet again and we felt 'at home' again as soon as we stepped inside their wonderful home. If a bed and breakfast (quite the wrong discription!) could earn 6 stars then this one would without... More

The greeting from chris and sandra made me feel at home immediatley and that was only at the gate, once inside and showed around i felt this is all i could ask for. fabulous rooms, decor , and country side with an abundance of wild life. Nothing is any trouble for... More

even before reaching this lovely house we where greeted at the gate by the wonderful site of three red kite flying over head then shortly after by red legged grouse running along the track infront of us (good start) next we were greeted by Chris & Sandra who showed us into there wonderful home. Accomodation a very high standard at... More

This was my first holiday in North Wales and this place was found after a good search in Google by my friends who also accompanied us. I have never ever experienced such an atmosphere in a hotel. i would not call it a b & b, rather a home. That’s what we felt at the end of our stay. We... More

This guesthouse is very special. Sandra was there to welcome us from the start and nothing was too much trouble. As a family with small children you always feel slightly anxious however everything we needed was there and nothing was too much trouble. The place itself is tucked away down a country track and you are surrounded by fields, sheep... More

The ambience, Sandra & Chris, (the hosts), location, the standard of service, the welcome and all aspects of our stay was truly wonderful. We intend to repeat our experience again in july 2010. This was written by the Williams family of Ystrad Aeron in Ceredigion,Wales. More
