I stayed here for two nights while in Bristol for a conference. The hostel itself is nice -- friendly staff, nice facilities, incredibly convenient location. It was a little noisy, of course, but I expected that given that it is across the harbor from a massive entertainment complex and I was there on Friday and Saturday nights on a bank... More

I stayed there for three nights. People (staff) were friendly and hostels were nice and clean. They had this luggage room as well where you can store your bag etc. There are lockers if you want to use them but they are costly. I dont remember but I think it was 2 pound for a day or something like that.... More

As a solo traveller I can recommend YHA in Bristol. I have been there a few days before Christmas and it was surprisingly quiet. I really loved the cafe downstairs and a place where I could sit with my coffee and read some books. It was good to read something more about Bristol before going to do sightseeing. Staying in... We booked a private ensuite for 4 and at first thought it was a good price. However, it soon transpired that this did not include towels or breakfast. The other issue was the noisiness of the road outside which didn't lead to great sleep. Watch out for the 3pm checkin time, we managed to get our room earlier as I... More

We turned up and was told that we could get our room at 3pm, so we went around town and took in the sights. Returned at 3pm and settled in. It was raining more heavily now and so we took advantage of the lounge. It could have done with a little more furniture as there were lots of guests who... More

Firstly as mentioned in previous reviews the lift is out of order and we had to climb 9 flights to get to our level with suitcases, that was just the start. The toilets/ shower were dirty. Unfriendly, sarcastic staff and for three people sharing on a weekday £120!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE. Would never stay here again. Far better and far cheaper places... More

A previous reviewer mentioned this but the lift is out of action and there doesn't seem to be any haste in getting it fixed. So you hear quite a few *bumps* on the metal stairs as kids drag their suitcases down the stairs. Luckily for me I had a rucksack but having to go up arouond 10 flights of stiars... More

Where do I start? showers not working. LIft out of action indefinitely, so this 4 story building is a problem for anyone with luggage or any mobility problems, ie most visitors. Chewing gum on the stairs, generally poor standards of cleaning, bunks too small. Bathrooms with black mould. Self catering kitchen has no kettle, dirty dishes are put away as... More

Stayed here for three nights, It is 10 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads station. It is in a georgous old building in the heart of the harbouside which is a recent regeneration area, other hotels in the area are far more expensive. Rooms are basic, bunk beds, cupboard and sink, toilets and showers are along the hall, but the... More

Stayed here again last weekend for 3 nights, and apart from the last night everything was okay. Friendly and helpful staff, good self catering kitchen equipped with 2 gas and electric cookers with plenty of fridge space to store your things and 3 supermarkets nearby. Nice lounge to chill, watch TV and chat to other guests. Internet expensive - 50p... More
