We seem to keep coming back to this hotel for the odd weekend in Bristol, simply because it's really well priced, good location and the staff are always great. This time i'd booked my wife in to use the Spa, she really enjoyed this and she said the girls in there were great. I used the Gym and whilst it's... More

Stayed at this hotel for a hen weekend with family and friends ranging in age from 9 to 71. The rooms had nice décor and were clean. The staff were pleasant enough. At breakfast there was a good range to choose and the kids eat free made it good value. Now the negative. This hotel (and a great deal of... More

Stayed for weekend recently and our first room was spacious and nicely appointed, but was not impressed that having paid over ÂŁ100 per night that there was only a shower in the bathroom and no bath. Asked for a room with a bath and was told only suites has baths. Paid an extra ÂŁ20 per night to upgrade to get... More

We only stayed one night; nice size bedroom and bathroom, clean, friendly staff. Didnt get a chance to check out the SPA. We turned the AC off at night so slept well. Walked into the dock area in about 10 mins if that - where there are lots of places to eat and bars for a night out. Parking was... More

Good hotel. Very poor night's sleep due to constant humming noise in room. Dinner in restaurant was of a high quality and service good. Used swimming pool which was very warm and not too crowded. Did not use spa facility.

A bit of a surprise find, in central Bristol. Close to the squares and the night life, this hotel does look "like a Russian embassy from the 1970's" as one friend put is. Not much to look out outside, and the surrounding urban area means you don't expect to find a hotel there! The rooms are a good size, and... More

I was working in Bristol for 8 weeks and stayed here for 5 nights a week. I ate in the hotel most nights and never had a bad meal. If you choose to eat in your room the service is very quick but there is a ÂŁ5 tray charge. The entry level rooms are quiet and well appointed but if... More

This hotel is conveniently located in the city centre of Bristol. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel has a bar that serves food and a restaurant. It offers an excellent full-English breakfast buffet. Staff are very helpful and courteous.

We stayed here instead of the usual Novotel as it was fully booked. The Mercure was very nice and modern. The rooms were clean and well appointed (though there was no bathtub). We made use of the swimming facilities which were perfectly adequate. My only complaint, was the parking was woefully inadequate for a hotel of it's size. We parked... More

I am glad that you had the opportunity ( even if perhaps not by choice) that you were able to try a Mercure hotel. I can understand how a little frustrating it may have been to have had to park elsewhere and I am disappointed that you were not informed that you could have parked around the outside of the...
