Great little B & B, full of character just five minutes walk from the Town Hall and central square. Old building, beautifully maintained and well furnished. In my room there were even Wedgewood plates on the wall, and they were not screwed down! Mine had ensuite, safe, TV, trouser press and tea and coffee facilties. The door was quite low,... More

We stayed here a single night in September, and wished we had more time. The B&B was very convenient to the cathedral and center of town, and to an excellent pub - always a plus, especially at the end of a long and stressful day traveling (we missed a connection, and getting from Chipping Campden to Chester ain't easy) followed... This lovely little Bed and Breakfast is 2 minutes walk from the Cathedral and centre of Chester. The location is excellent for visiting shops and sampling the delights of Chester's many eateries and pubs. The room we had was decorated with lovely old solid furniture. There was no bath but the en-suite shower was sufficient for our needs. The bedding and towels... More

We enjoyed a very nice, comfortable stay here. It's in a very good location, quiet but close to the Cathedral and the historic centre. Breakfast was good, maybe a little earlier than we would have preferred but it got us out of bed. The town house is a great old building. There are exposed beams and squint door frames due... More

Great location. Small room, but that's normal for a townhouse; just expect it. Great breakfast. The host was ... very hospitable, forthcoming with suggestions of what to see, where to eat.

This is a traditional guest house with well-equipped en-suite rooms within the walled city, in a quiet, historic street close to the North Gate (and to the Town Hall, Cathedral etc). As the name suggests it's an old town house so expect narrow stairs, uneven floors, charmingly out-of-date decor etc., but also a comfortable bed and everything in working order.... More

This was the perfect location inside the city walls. It was clean, affordable and convenient. The only possible negative was the smell of smoke in the lounge and breakfast area. Our room did not smell at all and I really only noticed it at breakfast. Breakfast was full English, cooked to order and wonderful! Our host was very kind and... More

We were thrilled to find this affordable lodging inside the walls of Chester's center city! There is a car park located just a 2-minute walk away. Our host was very kind and carried our bags up for us, and offered dining suggestions. The bathroom and room were clean and well-appointed. The breakfasts were delicious - full English breakfast. My only... More

This is one of the best b&b's I have ever stayed in. It is located in a beautiful old town house, offering a very high standard of accommodation. My room was on the top floor and was very spacious and had lovely tasteful decor with lovely period furniture. The only modern touch was the flat screen tv which was great,... More
