I stayed here with my daughter who agreed it was the best value and excellent location. Our hosts Russell and Anne provide a welcoming atmosphere, excellent breakfast - the eggs are from their own chickens, goose egg was a new experience for me. The room was clean and comfortable, good hot shower in newly refurbished en suite. We walked the... More

Me and my friends decided to stay here after having trouble finding a hotel which would offer us 3 beds for a night out! It was booked very last minute and they gave us a great deal. After reading some of the reviews on here I was a bit worried and I would like to say to everyone who reads... More

We wanted somewhere not expensive and Laburnum House certainly was that. The owners let us stay in the family room (we are 3 mature ladies) so we each had our own bed which was great.Five minutes walk from the centre, 10 minutes from the station so no taxi fares. The place does need some updating, shower for some reason very... More

Okay, firstly this isn't a Ramada or Holiday Inn, but it is a small family run establishment (bed & breakfast) with an owner who could'nt do enough to help, from show us to our rooms promptly, guide us in and out of the small car park, and ensure we had everything we needed for breakfast. We stayed for two nights,... More

We booked a room for one night stay at this b & b at short notice. We stayed there for 10 minutes, which was long enough! We couldn't stand the awful smell (a combination of urine, damp and cooking fat) that lingered throughout the accomodation. Their web sit is very misleading as it looks half decent. It isn't! No way... More

Needing to be in Chester for just one night, Laburnhum House was literally just round the corner from the event we were attending. Anne gave us a very friendly welcome and we able to park in the off street car park. Our room was cosy but clean, only one chair but comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good. Overall excellent value... More

A small but comfortable B&B near the heart of Chester. Very reasonable prices - much lower than other parts of the UK. Friendly and helpful service from the owners. Very acceptable English breakfast. Room had everything to be expected - TV/Radio; Tea/Coffee facility; bedside lamps; clothes storage; additonal power sockets; wifi; clean, well equipped on-suite shower room and toilet. Small... More

Very good location close to the walls, city centre & train station either. Very friendly owners. Very nice full English breakfast with eggs from the owners' own hens. We got a nice but smallish room (the bathroom was big though). The bathroom & the dining room could have been just a bit better cleaned, but that's my only negative comment.... More

On the plus side, the owner was very friendly and welcoming, the bathroom was clean and modern and the shower very good, the breakfast was nice, and the tea and coffee making facilites ample. On the negative side, the location is a bit odd - although very convenient for both the station and the city, the B & B is... More

The hosts are very warm and friendly however, the accomodation does leave much to be desired. The main problem is the building needs some modernisation and a smell of damp within the room can be smelt. The house does have a frying smell to it which can put you off. The family room was very small but we were well... More
