I have stayed at The Falmouth Hotel many times not just for work visits but friend visits too, and never disappointed each time I stay. All members of staff are very helpful from the moment I check in each time- room service, and pleasant housekeeping staff. I normally order room service in the evenings as I normally have a lot... My room was good - I am recently widowed and I wondered if I would be put in a cupboard overlooking the dustbins! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can't fault it except for the 'common parts'. I wonder why the bedrooms have been refurbished before the staircase and the saggy sofas in the lounge. I am nit-picking as the... More

Dear Sue708 Many thanks for your review, I am very grateful to you for sharing your feedback with us. I agree that most bedrooms are beautifully refurbished - it will not now be long until we have addressed the items remaining in the public areas as we are building up quite some momentum! I am very pleased that you will... More

We were recommended this accommodation by a family member who was staying there for a second time. We got off to a good start. We had a nice welcome and we found the staff generally very accommodating. Décor in reception is "tired" but some lovely local paintings enliven this area and the breakfast room. We had a lovely, large room... More

Dear odearest Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. Overall I am happy that you enjoyed your stay and would return, albeit I am disappointed that we did not deliver a remarkable (in a good way of course....!) experience to you. I am most certainly addressing any issues of 'tiredness' in the reception decor... More

The hotel's building is tired and has seen better days, but it has a lovely ambience which is in keeping with the style and tradition of the building. The staff work very hard to provide a very professional but friendly and efficient service whilst keeping the hotel rooms clean as you would expect in your own home. More

We love the Falmouth Hotel, we stay two or three times a year when visiting family. The hotel's building has seen better days, however it is being refurbished and we see improvements each time we stay. The staff at the Falmout Hotel are great, right from the minute you walk through the door nothing is too much trouble. If you... More

A very pleasant experience. Food was lovely and the service refreshingly very professional while remaining friendly and efficient. Lovely ambience. My only quip was the seasoning. The food needed more seasoning and there was only that awful chemical mix Saxa available. A tragedy when the delicious Cornish Sea Salt is produced from that very bay! More

Dear clare488 Thank you for sharing your experience with us, I am delighted to read how much you enjoyed your recent Sunday lunch. I note that you would have prefered more seasoning and I do agree that we could look at the viability of a local source for this. We are otherwise very proud of the provenance of our ingredients... Great position for a wonderful building. The staff were smartly dressed, spoke well and looked after us with courteousness and speed. Excellent food at the start and end of the day helped to make this a trip to remember for all the right reasons. Unfortunately we did not have time to use the spa. More

The hotel is positioned on the seafront and has beautiful gardens. This is a large hotel and has apartments and cottages which you can hire too, but what shines through is the staff give you a personalised service.
