The Narrowcliff Hotel is located on the sea front and over looks Tolcarne beach and is a short walk (5 - 10 minutes) from the main shopping area. It has a lift, restaurant, bar and communal seating area. We stayed in room 219 which is a reasonable sized double with a small shower room in the corner. It was very... More

Spent the Easter break with National Holidays staying at the Narrowcliff, price £159 per person, coach travel, three nights dinner, bed and breakfast with an included excursion to St. Ives. This isn't the first of these breaks but by far the worse. Talking to other guests we had a luxury room, although we didn't have any head boards the windows... More

We stayed for a night and found the room fine, the ensuite bathroom could probably do with an update. Receptionist and night porter were friendly. Breakfast was good and staff were all friendly. The hotel is in a good location, walking distance to the town but not noisy, nice views on the front of the sea. The only thing was... More

perfect 4 days at the Narrowcliffe again. Value for money and staff all excellent. Only down side was the old Irish entertainer who was probably the most obnoxious un- child friendly man we have ever met. Rude (not blue)and arrogant towards all the children who ranged from 4 to 16 years. Not a big problem as we all quickly moved... More

We stayed for 3 nights with Gold Crest. The hotel has an excellent, quiet location on cliff tops, 5 minutes walk from Newquay. The hotel staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, it is let down by its tired appearance and need for refurbishment. The bedroom floorboards not only squeaked, they literally lifted as you walked across them. The bathroom was a... Recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with National Holidays. The room that we were allocated was terrible. The wallpaper was coming off the wall, it smelled like a public toilet and therefore we had to leave the window fully open and close the en-suite door to get rid of the smell. The basin in the bathroom was cracked.... More

We stayed 3 nights with Gold Crest Holidays and were fortunate to have a sea view. Although clean with comfy beds, the room desperately needs attention: 4 poster bed with no drapes, loose and missing wallpaper, small wardrobe that wouldn't take a dress length and a computer desk for a dressing table, curtains off the runners and a tired bathroom....
