We made the booking via internet in July 2010, having looked for a comfortable hotel with a nice restaurant. The Hotel description emphazises stunning views, mouthwatering food for diners at the restaurant, light lunches and bar meals, something for everyone. Booking confirmation promised a comfortable twin ensuite room. Upon arrival, we were told that there is no more restaurant! The... More

Whilst we welcome constructive criticism or suggestions, we have a professional duty to respond to defamatory statements. If someone is unhappy then why not have the decency to say so at the time of visit or is it because they prefer to be malicious and portray a negative image for reasons unknown! By advising us of any issue whilst here... More

Just got back from the Windward, and this was one of the best hotels we've stayed in. We stayed in the suite with a balcony, it had a fantastic view of the bay. The room was spotlessl and very quiet we never heard a sound from the other guests, and Sue and Paul made you fell very welcome, the breakfast... More

Sue could not have been more helpful. On our return for a second night my husband, son and I felt more like a friends than strangers. A beautiful place run by a professional couple with great taste. The conservatory provided us with a flowery bower to breakfast in and drinks in the evenig in the Honour Bar added to a... More

To celebrate my wife's birthday, she wanted to visit Fifteen in Cornwall and we had the opportunity to stay at the Windward Hotel. The service from booking the place to the day we left was excellent. Sue Harris, the owner of the hotel with her husband Paul ensured that matters went smoothly. Everything I asked for was organised excellently. We... More

We stayed here while we were walking this beautiful section of the Coastal Path. We had a standard room with double bed and shower. Our room and the entire Hotel was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Meals (we only took breakfast but a full range of food was on offer) were served in the spacious Conservatory overlooking Porth Beach. An... More

Stayed at the Windward hotel this weekend for my friends birthday. Was very dissapointed!! The hotel if you can even call it that was very dated and for what you pay a rip off. We stayed two nights and were kept awake both nights as the walls are so thin. Missed cooked breakfast one morning as we were late (breakfast... More

Cant fault the place, very clean, good food, helpful staff, great location, loads of parking space. As a previous review states walls a bit thin, and you can here next doors, but it all adds to the entertainment. Would recommend to anyone, hope to return in the future. More

This is probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. The proprietors are extremely friendly and helpful. Only two drawbacks, the chef had departed unexpectedly the week before we arrived, so no evening meals (although breakfast was cooked by the owner and was faultless), and the twin rooms were a tad small and would have been better suited to... Booked a two night stay at the Windward through booking.com as a "special offer" reduced rate for a superior valley view room at £110 per night (reduced from £130 per night). First disappointment was upon check in being asked to pay the full balance of the stay in advance - I hate that. I think the Windward has a problem... More

We always welcome constructive & accurate feedback. However on this occasion we feel the need to respond. The Superior Valley View was not on Bookings.Com as a "special offer" reduced rate. It has NEVER been £130.00 per night and the reception tariff clearly shows £110.00 per night as was charged (£99.00 during off peak season). In fact, we have no... More
