Very pleasant stay. The room was clean and and had en suite shower. Breakfast was good and there was a nice friendly atmosphere. Great location for those arriving by train as its adjacent to the station. The only down side being that there is no view as the hotel looks out on to the side of the station building. If... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Carnson House Hotel every time we visit West Cornwall and every year for the last four years. We are never disappointed. Rob & Belinda are great hosts, always helpful. Rooms we have used are clean and well maintained. Breakfast is always good. The central situation for access to transport and attractions couldn't... We found them on the internet and were very pleased with our choice. We had a room on the ground floor with an en-suite. The room & bathroom were quite small but had everything you needed in them. Rob & Belinda were very friendly and helped us with information and parking. Breakfast was lovely and the bed & breakfast is... More

After reading some of the reviews we were a bit dubious about going there but i can honestly say our fears were groundless. The room was on the groundfloor with an en-suite. Both were clean and the bed was comfortable. More than one choice for breakfast. All cooked well. Both Rob and Belinda were very friendly and helpful. We would... More

Close to rail station and town, so good access but in every other way a bit of a dump. Grubby room and bedding, shockingly uncomfortable lumpy, saggy bed, old towels and noisy plumbing. Not exactly a cheapo at 65 pounds - think we could have done better. Hosts were friendly enough and breakfast ok. More

Spent a night here recently, it wasn't overly cheap but that wasn't an issue, what WAS an issue was the so called "private bathroom" which I had to cross a public corridor to get to, and of course I had no dressing gown so, this involved dressing to get to the loo in the night! The room itself was ok... More

Stayed here for just one night, which is OK, but no more. The place is literally falling apart. Everything everywhere was falling off the wall. The reason we stayed here was that it was the only B&B left in Penzance not booked up. And we can see why. The room was overpriced and very small. All frames and paintings were... More

We stayed at the Carnson Hotel, the evening before a day trip to the Isles of Scilly, as it was the only hotel I could find that would take a one night booking. When I made the booking over the telephone, I spoke with the owner, who said the rate would be £58 for bed and breakfast. I explained that... More

We stayed at the Carnson House B&B for six long nights. On arriving Rob was welcoming and pleasant enough, he showed us to the room and explained how the TV worked and what time breakfast was. The room was very small for a double with very little space, the bed took up most of the room with about a 2... More
