The Telstar was about the 15th hotel we had stayed in in as many nights during our tour of England, and it was one of the best. Very reasonable rates compared to what other hotels are asking, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable room, great wi-fi, excellent food and a clear commitment to the environment. We had... More

Great location for the city centre. Clean, good value for money, if a little 'tired' in places. Excelent friendly service, with a quality breakfast. We paid £90 per night for a family room, which was 2 rooms, each with its own tv, single bed and a sofa bed in the second room, comfortable double in the first. Nice en suite... More

We had 3 nights here and were very comfortable indeed. The staff were fantastic and the breakfasts cooked to perfection. The parking at the back needs a confident driver and be prepared to move you car. Amazing view from the back and easy to walk into the centre. The hotel is two buildings together so don't forget which staircase you... More

Comfortable bedding, clean and quiet family room, nice decorating throughout Delicious and high quality English breakfast. We have been staying in small UK establshments over the past several years as we settle and accompany our children through univesity and this was by far the nicest experience. Keep up the good work!

Spent a couple of days here while on business travel. Staff excellent, very friendly and welcoming. I booked an en-suite room, which was cozy and clean although not exactly spacious. Comfortable bed, slept OK but my room was at the front and the street could be noisy from time to time. Guess that rooms at the rear are a little... More

It is in a great location, only a 5-10 minute walk into the city. Unique to find somewhere so close to the centre where you didn't have to pay for parking. Although the parking set up is interesting! It is likely that you will be blocked in at some point, therefore guests are asked to leave their keys so reception... More

Previously, I had stayed at the Telstar a few years back and remembered their friendly service. When a trip to Exeter was necessary, this was the first place I looked for accommodation. They have done some cosmetic work to the common areas which was nice. Our room (a family room for 3 adults) was a good size, although the en... More

I stayed for just the one night, arrive late and left early, but I had a very warm welcome, the bed was comfortable and cosy and I slept well, which I usually don't when away from home. It was also great value for money.

Stayed for one night whilst returning our son to Uni. Had planned to stay at Premier Inn but there was no parking so chose The Telstar - so glad we did! The room (10) was tiny but immaculate and had all we needed. (The en-suite would be a bit tight if you are on the large size!). There was a... More

Stayed there for two nights last weekend. We had room 22 which was an immaculate room with a small garden and views over Exeter. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and the breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked. Couldn't have been better and we will certainly stay there again. Puts some of the larger hotels we have stayed in... More
