A group of 8 of us stayed here in 4 rooms. We were given a warm and personal welcome by Rob abd Sue when we arrived. Two rooms were good size and two a bit smaller but that was reflected in teh price. Value for money was excellent. Breakfast also was excellent (try the "Raft"). The position was very convenient... We stayed at the Barbican Reach B&B for 5 nights 24th April to 29th april 2012. What a lovely place to stay and so close to everything. For us it was very welcome after driving around England for over a month, if you have a car parking is available on the street, Rob was very helpful, breakfast was delicious. The... More

We have stayed in many places on our trips to the UK but none comes anywhere near the friendly welcome that Rob and Sue give you. They are in the perfect location for exploring the old part of Plymouth. The breakfast that Rob cooks is second to none the choice is to die for and is so substantial you can skip lunch.We... We stayed here just before the Easter break (and as a result of the ratings of trip advisor). The place was very clean and the hosts so very welcoming. The room decor was very fresh and the bed comfortable. The breakfast menu was extensive (and imaginatively written) and all freshly sources and cooked. The location is literally 2 mins walk... More

If you're looking for somewhere clean, cosy, friendly and close to many of the good things that can easily be reached within walking distance, you can't go past the freshly renovated Barbican Reach B&B. My thoroughly enjoyable four nights (from 27 Jan 2012) included superb breakfasts cooked up by Rob that would last all day. Rob and Sue’s hospitality made... More

My wife and I wanted to stay right in the heart of old Plymouth, The Barbican Reach was in a perfect location, 3 mins to the "Hoe". Our double room was clean and spacious at the front of the building with a large window over looking the green park of the Hoe. Our hosts (Rob & Sue) made us feel... More

I only stayed a night at the Barbican Reach whilst in the local area. I was working in Plymouth doing a night shift so needed a B&B that could accommodate my early morning finish and allow me to sleep in until lunchtime. When I arrived I was greeted by Rob who made me feel extremely welcome and couldn't do enough... More

I dont want to really write this review because I think its one of treasures to be found in the Barbican and I would rather not have the competition to stay here. But the hosts (Sue and Rob) were so generous and helpful, I would be remiss not to espouse the virtues of this quiet unpretentious guest house with its... More
