Very nice guest house in the center of plymouth, next to the park Hoe, at 10min walks from the harbour and the center. The hosts are very nice and funny. We had a twin Room that was ok and quiet. It is possible to Park in the area. Tariffs are reasonnable (60-70€). Plymouth is a nice city with great parks... More

The guesthouse is lovely, spotlessly clean with en-suite facilites, hairdryer, kettle (inc complementary biscs and tea!), TV and nicely furnished. The breakfasts alone are worth visiting for with a choice of fresh fruit, greek yoghurt and/or cereal for starters followed by a full (freshly cooked) english breakfast with fruit juices and tea and coffee. Nothing is too much trouble for... More

I stayed here recently and was overwhelmed by the friendliness. I booked a single room and was given an ensuite twin room. Nothing was too much trouble. When I mentioned the ferry,I was instantly given a timetable. They instinctlvely knew when to talk and when to give a little 'space'. Never stay in an unfriendly hotel when you can stay... More

The complimentary reviews that attracted us to Squires were accurate. I visited with a Portuguese guest and we were both impressed with the warm greeting Dave and Paula afforded us and the efficient way they operate. Throughout, they checked every detail relating to our visit, where appropriate. The facilities are very comfortable and modern and well located. Ambiance is homely... More

We recently visited Plymouth for a couple of days and booked Squires Guest House after reading previous reviews, we were not disappointed as Dave & Paula are the most accommodating hosts we have ever met. Nothing is too much trouble, The rooms are very well equipped and very well presented. The breakfast was fantastic and the poached eggs are a... More

Whenever we visit Plymouth for a concert/show we stay at Squires. It offers on-street parking (for a small charge) in a quiet road and is only a few minutes walk into the centre, or the Barbican. Paula and Dave are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are very clean and their breakfasts will keep... More

Have recently stayed at Squires for an overnight visit to the theatre in Plymouth. We were welcomed like old friends by Dave and his wife. They could not have been more attentive. Our room was clean, airy and seemed to have been fairly freshly decorated. The guest house is situated within very easy reach of both The Pavillions and The... More

We had not been to a B&B for a long time and had some doubts. However after researching thoroughly on tripadvisor we chose Squires as it had very good reviews. We are really pleased to report that it certainly was a very pleasant experience to stay 2 nights at The Squires. Paula and Dave were extremely helpful with info re... More

Stayed here for two nights at the start of October as we were in the area for a wedding. The room was pretty compact but homely and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you tend to stay in hotels like us, you may be surprised at the size, but given this is a B&B, I think it... More
