Had a very nice stay during last August; a large tidy room with clean bathroom plus a gorgeous view down to the park. The owner couple were extremely friendly and I truly felt well liked. Will definitely be back the next time I visit Torpoint. Which is pretty soon. More

This is such a great spot with fabulous views out over the water. Could be developed into something divine. As it is, is c.16 B&B rooms over a cheap & cheerful pub. Positives: quite & peaceful location; views. Negatives: what should've been a good night's sleep was constantly interrupted by the noisiest plumbing I have ever heard- basically every time... More

Despite the reason for our visit,( funeral) we had a pleasant time. The food was always excellent and the staff very pleasant / helpful. Whilst the rooms are not huge, they are more than adequate and ours had "patio" windows out onto a balcony overlooking the waterfront. Loads to see, easy access to Plymouth via the water taxi. Looking forward... More

Stayed from 7th to 20th of August 2010 through recommendation of a friend. Although Sally was away in Australia and Dave was having remedial work carried out to the stairwell during my visit, it did not detract from being a very pleasant stay. (Informed of remedial work taking place prior to my arrival and an offer of alternative accomodation if... More

In Plymouth recently I stayed,on a friend's recommondation, at The Mountbatten Hotel. I found a friendly, family run hotel in a peaceful, quiet location with a delightful view over the park. My en suite room was most comfortable and spotlessly clean and in the evening I was served with a very enjoyable meal with wine. Full English breakfast in the... More

A group of us took over 3 rooms here for 2 nights. We are divers so it was ideally located for the Sports centre where you can moor your boat. The room we had was reminiscent of a Travelodge or something of the sort. The beds were comfortable, had duvets not blankets and there was SkyTV and tea and coffee... More

Spent a very happy week at this hotel. The rooms were clean, the breakfast great and the owners friendly. Certainly don't agree with Kundalini's review. "Fleas" ? I certainly saw no such thing. If there were fleas, why did he/she stay a second night ? Very strange. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on that one.... More

I have just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel - hotel???. Okay. I was given a single room up in the attic, which was okay. It was small & clean, and exactly what i needed. It wasn't until i had to use the room (after being out all day), that i wasn't so sure. I had been... More

We intended only to stay one night in this hotel but ended up staying for more than a week! Dave and Sally (the new proprietors) made us one of their own - from the initial friendly welcome - to their home made food - they are great! The Mountbatten is a licenced 10? roomed hotel, so it's big enough to... More
