I have just returned from a wondeful stay at The Meadfoot Bay Hotel in Torquay and had great time. My partner and I were doing a tour of the south west of England and stayed for 7 days in Torquay as it was the perfect location to access areas in Devon but also Cornwall as well. The Meadfoot Bay Hotel... More

Me and my fiance stayed two nights at the Meadfoot Bay in May 2012, from the moment we arrived we were welcomed warmly into the hotel by Chris (the owner) they were good enough to check us in earlier than the official check in time. We were given an upgrade on our room free of charge as a goodwill gesture.... More

I stayed at Meadfoot Bay for two nights at the end of April after a long drive from York through heavy rain and wind. I arrived about 45 minutes before the traditional check-in time but the host was very gracious, providing tea while he insured the rooms were ready. The room was spacious and clean with a nice view of... More

I booked a one night stay for business over the phone with Chris.. was most impressed they take American Express (does not always happe especially with smaller establishments). Parking was free. On arrival I was met by Chris who checked my in, explained about how to get in / out with the door alarm system and helped me to my... More

We stayed for a Friday and Saturday night. As we were to be out most of the time, our need was for a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast the next morning. These objectives were comprehensively met. The hotel is situated in a quiet area near to the sea and within reasonable walking distance of the centre of town.... More

We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 4 nights in march. It was our first visit to torquay which I have to say is an extremely beautiful resort. On arrival at the hotel we were immediatley impressed with the exterior which is exceptionally clean & welcoming. We were allocated room 12 a twin room on the first... More

I just come back from my short break there. It was simply amazing. I was just 5 minutes walk to the center, 3 minutes walk to the beach... and it was quiet! Very peaceful place with it's little bits of magic. I spend in Meadfoot Bay some great 'me-time' without children and all day-to-day problems. As it is family run... More

What a friendly family-run b&b. Gary couldn't have been more helpful with local information. Recommended a fun Mexican for dinner called jingles. The very close by beach is gorgeous & much quieter than central Torquay. The room (21) was small but comfy & had doors leading out to the lovely roof garden with sea views. Fab breakfast! More

Just got back from a superb week in Torquay. We so lucked out with the super summer weather in March. Plus we scored on the Meadfoot Bay Hotel. A Victorian gem just a short walk from Meadfoot Beach one way, and the heart of Torquay the other way. Imagine walking back in time to the genteel days of the 19th... More
