“One of the nicest we have stayed in”

As the title says, we have stayed in a number of B & B's over the years and Clare House rates very highly. The extra touches help to make your stay feel more comfortable and enjoyable. A fridge in the room for fresh milk and complimentary water was particularly welcome. The overall standard is excellent.

“Wouldnt hesitate booking here again!”

We arrived on the Friday evening, approx. 5pm, and had no problem with on street parking. Dianne greeted us very warmly, showed us too our room (room 1) and explained everything we needed to know including breakfast. Great B&B - excellent location and very friendly staff. Made to feel very welcome and the rooms were very nice and well decorated. Lots of nice little touches, like bath robes and slippers, selection of teas in room etc. The cooked breakfast was absolutely lovely.

We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived, and this set the tone for our stay. Dianne and her staff worked hard to ensure our comfort. This is a great place to stay. Diane, the host is very welcoming. The rooms are well decorated and the beds very comfortable. Robes and slippers and other little touches add to the comfort. Thank you for your kind words. Especially the fact that we are not a hotel. We do try our very best but we do not have 24 hour room service or a swimming pool. Unfortunately some guests think 5* Guest House is the same as 5* Hotel. You were delightful guests I do hope we will see you again soon. More

Couldn't recommend enough!! Run by the most friendly and welcoming couple who have decorated the house perfectly. Really homely. Look forward to returning :-) Oh and the breakfast is easily the best I've ever had!

“A lovely stay at Clare House”

It was so lovely to stay at Clare House. It has to be one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed in! Delightful in every way: food excellent, room quite luxurious, service and every detail thought about. If it had a car park it would be perfect! We would love to come back very soon.
