Impressive looking building and a warm welcome at reception. A lovely room, clean and tidy with a comfy bed and the usual coffee and tea making facility, although no biscuits, it was nice to have an excellent wifi signal which was free, very good! We only had shower which was a little disappointing but we were only there for the... More

We have been visiting Stratton House most years since 1976, when it was run by Mrs Manley-Walker and was beautifully decorated with excellent food and quality reading matter in the drawing room. Also the bar retained the feel of being the oldest part of this house. In recent years our enjoyment has been gradually reducing along with the standards offered.... More

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay with us. It is evident that you went away disappointed. If I can comment on a few points that you have raised. It is always our intention to maintain the upkeep of the hotel and whilst I agree that some areas need attention, the company has invested money in the past... More

My wife and I stayed overnight at the Stratton Court. Staff extremely helpfully, the hotel a little dated, but gives it a pleasant shabby chic look, very comfortable. My main suggestion would be, pay a little extra and upgrade to a room in the newer annex.

My partner and me, and our dog, stayed here overnight before Cheltenham Ladies' Day. Although the cost was rather high, we knew it would be due to the time of year. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, particularly the head waiter that evening, who stayed up until quite late so that we could have a night-cap,... More

Hotel looks good from the outside, big old and grand house in nice gardens. Very old fashioned and dated interior. As usual for old house lots of corridors and every floorboard to our room squeaked! Also in our room. The bedroom was large and clean with good bathroom. However the décor was from another era and dull. The public rooms... More

Thank you for you comments regarding your recent stay with us. We do appreciate that the decor is not favourable to everyone and a few areas could do with a touch up. However in keeping with that country house feel it is important to get the balance right. More

Very good three day golf break. The hotel is well situated to explore the cotswolds besides being very convenient to a number of courses. The food was very good particularly the breakfast. The rooms we had were clean and comfortable and because the hotel is situated off the main road the rooms were very quiet. The staff were excellent could not have... More

Some previous reviews are pretty spot on - oh why didn't I listen to trip advisor. Expensive for what it is, could be lovely with a bit of effort and penny pinching reduced. Toilet paper you put your fingers through, white paint which is now yellow, - get the picture........... No sleep due to boiler or something similar cutting in... More

I am sorry to hear that your recent stay with us was marred by noise. I have looked into this and we discovered an airlock in the pipes that was causing the noise. This has now been resolved and hopefully won't cause us anymore issues. More

Like other reviewers, we were informed in advance that the hotel and Best Western were in the process of parting company.nights We were attending the Badminton events, and stayed for three nights. I'd booked it on price (it compared favourably to Premier/Days Inn on the M5), so wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. This old-fashioned hotel is set back... More
