Food was good; the 'three cooked chips' that I had with my sandwich were superior to the chips that came with my husband's fish and chips. I ordered an egg sandwich and it took a good quarter of an hour before a member of staff came to tell me they had no eggs. The cheese salad replacement was good though... More

I spent ages looking for somewhere to eat whilst we were staying at The Norton Park Hotel. We generally prefer to eat out. There were a few good reviews, so decided on The Fox and Hounds. Big mistake! The staff were very young, but friendly. Our wine arrived quickly and our order was taken - 45 minutes later we were... More

The rooms are located outside the pub in a converted shed which has it's charms. The beds are comfortable , the room is basic, the TV set is old with only limited channels. No Breakfast served however there is a continental breakfast in the fridge. The rooms have no internet and because Crawley is only a small village there is... More

Eaten here on a number of occasions but seems either management has changed or the chef. All I wanted was the burger but this seemed to much to ask for the chunky chips that came with it were from a bag and really dry,(whats wrong with homemade) the burger had been put in a burger bap bun no dressing or... I stayed here on and off for about 3 months last year as I was working just up the road and I've been meaning to write a review ever since as I think that a lot of the criticism in the reviews below is unfair. When you consider the tariff I think you get good value, the rooms are clean... More

We booked a night with friends at the Fox & Hounds at the beginning of December to go to the Christmas Market at nearby Winchester. There are only 4 rooms which are converted stables, they are quite small but quaint, we had the 2 rooms facing the pub and had no problems with noise etc. My only complaint would be... More

My husband and I had a pleasant stay here in mid-October. The room was clean and comfortable, and even though the pub is nearby, our evening was blissfully quiet. Walking through the quaint village was also quite lovely. The restaurant was a little pricier than we had anticipated, but the rooms were definitely an outstanding value. More

Unable to get 2 showers on the first morning. Went to discuss this and were told that WE had left the tap running, which we CERTAINLY had NOT. Very rude to my wife and although apologised for his rudeness to me still said WE had left the tap on. This has apparently happened on a number of occasions. Were the... More

My wife and I ate here on a wet Tuesday evening in September and it was very welcoming. The real ale was well kept, the staff were pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive and the food was of a high standard, tasty and good value. The car park is small, but that is about the only bad thing we could think to... More
