My friend and me - originally Hungarians, but working in London - went on holiday at the end of July. We found the hotel on the internet and spent 3 days in Dover. The owners, an elderly, but youngish couple, were very kind, helpful, friendly and hospitable, English breakfast was excellent, really tasty, specially the mushroom. We had a double... More

We were greeted by the lady owner of the establishment who was very welcoming. The accommodation was very comfortable if on the small side. We were asked each day what we were planning and if we needed any advice which was appreciated. We were also asked on returning if we had enjoyed our day out. Each morning we ate in... More

Booked through Dover tourist office was easy to find. We were greated by the host who allowed us to inspect 3 rooms before making a choice, All were quite good, the one we chose was quite large, had a view and very light and airy and a seperate private bathroom which was large with lots of light. The hostess gave... More

I am american, but live in France. I recently, rented 5 rooms at St Martin's Guest house (I swam the english channel so I had to accomodate my crew and family) Leading up to my swim, I stayed in several guest houses in Dover - but St. Martin's was my favorite. Without question, the best english breakfast I have ever... More

We stayed for one night. Although we initially found the room to be dated and tired, with very old fixtures and fittings, the room was clean. We found the towels, although not plush, to be acceptable. The mattresses were firm and the beds in good condition so we slept well (we consider this to be a priority). Breakfast was lovely,... More

Okay place to stay - reminds me of Faulty Towers. It was clean and tidy and the owners were lovely. The hot breakfast was great. We were staying on the top floor so the water pressure was a little average for the shower. More

We stayed for three nights in this nice guest house on our trip to England. It´s run by a charming and cordial lady and her husband; clean an tidy rooms, coffee an tea in the room and a marvellous breakfast with baked beans, bacon, sausages, fried eggs, toast and marmelade - we enjoyed it a lot. We´ll come back, whenever... More

We stopped at this place overnight before catching the ferry to go over to France. Well this place should certainly not be awarded the three AA stars that it is, it is terrible. The location for the ferry in Dover is good but the guest house is awful. When you arrive it is dark and dingy, with wood-chip paper all... More

Firstly, I would like to thank you for your comments. However, I think you may be confusing 3 star guesthouse accreditation with 3 star hotel accreditation. We always welcome constructive criticism and it is disappointing that instead of raising your issues with us when we would have had the opportunity to try to rectify them or could have assisted you...
