I recently attended a friend’s wedding and subsequent reception at The Kingston Theatre Hotel, and it was absolutely excellent. Upon arriving the staff were extremely friendly and made me feel instantly welcome. The building and décor radiate quality and complimented the very high standards of this venue. From the start of the day right through to the end of the... More

the room we were allocated had a terrible smell how ever after complaining at the reception they were very good and gave us an alternative room which was very clean and comfortable it was just a pity we were kept awake most of the night with the two females laughing and whooping it up in the room next door to... A lovely quiet location, and staff who are always warm, pleasant and helpful - nothing seems too much trouble. It is NOT a swish, modern, faceless member of a big chain, but individual, mildly quirky, perhaps a little old-fashioned (and all the better for that). Good food and very reasonable prices. More

Went to a works party. We had a 3 course traditional Xmas dinner & the food was exemplary. The service was spot on & once finished we went downstairs to the disco. My husband is over 6ft & said he felt like his head was touching the ceiling because it is very low but we still managed to have a... More

We stayed here for 1 night in February in a executive room which was large clean and well furnished, there were complimentary dressing gowns and slippers and the hotel was convenient for the town centre with ample short term parking directly outside, with long term parking available about a 100 yards away. The breakfast was sufficient and we found all... More

Quiet hotel in beautiful square in city centre so easy walk to Hull's interesting historical area, old docks and shops. Only 15mins from the station too. Hotel itself is in a lovely old building so the rooms have character but also mod-cons such as efficient heating which was welcome on cold January nights, tea-making facilities and a modern bathroom -... Enjoyable one-night stay in this independent hotel in a quiet square 8 minutes' walk from the city centre. We were upgraded to a suite which was very nice. The hotel is old-fashioned but very comfortable and clean with friendly, helpful, hard-working staff who are obviously committed to their guests' comfort. Food is good, service too. A good place to stay,... More

Second time I have stayed here and it was even better than last time. Very nice, helpful staff, quiet clean room with a comfy bed and a very nice breakfast. Great value for money and located in a great part of Old Hull. Don't bother with the nearby chain hotel/motels - come and stay here! More
