We were greeted by Sarah the manager on arrival and shown to our apartment. We stayed in bowfell with our baby twins and found the accommodation to be a home from home and pullwood had even organised a cot for us. The setting and grounds are beautiful, right on the edge of windermere. Very peaceful and tranquil. The apartment was... More

Cottage next door being totally renovated so very noisy. Since I am heavy pregnant and come here to get some rest not impressed at all. If you are booked in any of the cottages around the enterence to pullwood bay beware.

As my subject says, you feel like occupying space in the nature's lap. This estate is amazing, away from the commercial side, yet nearby to drive. We stayed at Blencathra (2 bed) apartment. It's got one master bedroom facing the lakeside and one secondary one which is way small and does not faces lakeside. Small bedroom has valux (roof windows)... More

We stayed in Meadowside for a week early March 2013, for how much we paid for this week we found the cottage to be great. I believe that the cottage is for sale and I hope that the new owners will make a few updates and make the cottage a little more homely. The only thing that I didn't like... More

We have just returned from The Cedars, and I have to admit to being a little apprehensive prior to our stay - having read others peoples reviews. Actually, the property was in good order - definitely not 4or 5 star, but we didn't pay for that, so totally expected what we found. However, the property was not dirty or in... More

Having read the scathing comments of a few dissatisfied customers I thought I'd chip in. We visited the cedars in March 2012, the hottest week of the year. The setting is perfect. A woodland location, surrounded by wildlife, with easy access from Ambleside or Windermere. Yes, there were a few dusty areas but in general the property was in good... More

Stayed in Curlew Close with the family over New Year 29th-5th. Having stayed in Huyton Hill many years ago, the site has certainly been modernised but it still maintains a beautiful setting. Curlew Close is one of the cottages at the entrance so unfortunately you don't get to see the big house...shame but no biggy! Curlew Close is a 3... More

Waste of money, poor service, dirty property We visited Pullwood Bay’s Wyke Bay self-catering property recently and were shocked at the poor service, lack of communication, uncleanliness and lack of safety. Why you should not stay at Wyke Bay: 1. Dirty toilets splattered with poo – who on earth is the cleaner? 2. Uncomfortable bedding – feathers poking out of... More

We just returned recently from staying in Wyke Bay for 4 nights (which was cut short to 3 nights!).  Wyke Bay is supposed to be the best accommodation they have available at Pullwood Bay.  I have to say without a doubt this was the worst customer service and care we have received in any of our travels. In fact, it... More

Meadowside! Actually should be renamed roadside! This property is tiny extremely basic, and overpriced! Feel one is paying for the location at Pullwood Bay. Unfortunately the way the property is marketed leads you to believe it is of a higher standard than the actual reality! Needs more glassware and soft furnishings need replacing. Otherwise re-do the promotional video and reduce... More
