The Gables is quietly located near the centre of Ambleside. It has lovely views of the nearby park and church, but is handy for all the bars and shops. The staff were frendly and attentive - and all at a very reasonable price. We will certainly be visiting again.

Room ok however no chair near mirror to dry hair had to kneel on the floor as lead from hairdryer not longer enough if stood up. Very welcoming and friendly guest house.right in the village so near all the shops and cinema.Clean and warm. and they served large breakfasts. They were helpful with printed routes for walking in the area

stayed there in November for 1 night, however, just wanted to share that its been a convenient stress free stay. the room was great and clean and very warm (really appreciated since it was freezing outside!) with a lovely full english in the morning. would definitely recommend and would stay again, great location too!
