Fabulous location, cosy room, friendly staff and suberb breakfast, Great value for money in a place where most accommodation is way over-priced. Would stay again and recommend to others. To provide a balance the only downside was the small bathroom area. No problem for overnight but a few nights might get a bit annoying. More

The 100 year old hotel is only small but the bedrooms have lovely rustic style furniture. Enjoyed a good quality meal and breakfast there. It is only about 5 minutes walk away from the centre of Ambleside and the Lake. Good place for adults to stay but book well in advance. More
