Our favourite pub in Hawkshead! Dog and kid friendly, gorgeous real fire, fine selection of ales, comfy settees and friendly staff. Big tv for footie matches too....a definite pub to visit. It's also very handily located to the shops.

We stayed here back in December 2011 and enjoyed our evening meal and superb cooked breakfast. We called in for a meal March 2013 and were very disappointed. Excellent location and good atmosphere in the main bar area. CAN DO BETTER RED LION !
