Visited Walker Ground last October half term and was satisfied with the accommodation. It is in a good location (nice walk down hill into Hawkshead, not far) and there is also a decent walk if you head out of Walker Ground and turn left up the hill. The moment we saw our room we just thought - YES! It´s a short walk from Hawshead (5 min), but far enough that it was totally indisturbed. The room was spacious and the bathroom huge. Once again a cracking stay in a first class guest house. Andrea and Dougie are the perfect hosts. Breakfast and bedrooms cannot be faulted. There's an excellent range of evening meals available from a selection of dining pubs just 5 minutes walk away in the village. More
