Really enjoyed staying here. Nice owners, too. Just a short walk to town. Well worth going. Would def stay again. Brilliant breakfast! Nice views out back, too, over the church. Good for bikers on the c to c, too. Lots of nice touches, such as snack and sweet in the room.

The rooms were modern, clean and very comfortable beds. Excellent en-suite shower room. Lots of tea, coffee and bottled water. The breakfast was very high quality, lots of lovely fresh fruit, porridge and beautifully cooked full English. Lovely touch of chocolate brownies in the room. I would definitely stay here again.

A pity I only had one night here as I really enjoyed my stay. I was working in Penrith for one day so had to travel up from London the day before which is why I booked a guest house. The Albany was a real 'find'. So very comfortable and clean with lots of smashing finishing touches. Excellent breakfast too.

We recently had the good fortune to spend an evening with friends and a 60th birthday celebration. We had a fantastic meal and stayed overnight for BB.
