Stayed for one night. THe place has so much potential with easy access, splendid views and hapyp staff. THe rooms are abopve average for the price, but there is room for improvement. Firstly, they should change the mattresses, ours was old, curved, dated, awful. Like a youth hostel. At the end a hotel should start from the basics, like providing... More

What to say about this hotel that hasn't already been said? Having stayed here on 16th and 17th April 2012 for my husband and I's 30th wedding anniversary, we will definitely be returning . Everything, from the welcome right through to our sad goodbye, was perfect. The staff could not have been more friendly, with the gentleman on reception discussing... More

Booked in 30th March for 2 nights. Wonderful room with balcony overlooking the manicured gardens, lake and mountains, simply breathtaking. Friendly and welcoming staff whom made you feel at home in the most elegant and characteristic surroundings imaginable. The food was excellent.......what more can I say. Great Hotel if you want to get away from it all, breakfast was excellent, we had a room with a balcony over looking the lake, worth spending the extra money to have! More

Just returned from a two night break booked through Superbreaks. The hotel is in a lovely setting in its own grounds, we saw a buzzard while out for a wander. The building is full of character with comfortable lounges and a restaurant with a great view down over the lake. Our room (9) was ok but needed a lick of... More

This wasn't our first choice of hotel but the one I booked was full and this was an up-graded substitute and it was really great. We only had one night here (part of the way back from Scotland heading South) - wish it had been longer. We arrived about 2045 and had to warn the restaurant as they stopped serving... More

We stayed at the Leeming House from 25-27th of March 2012 - so were blessed with the beautiful weather - a real treat in Ullswater! We had emailed the hotel in advance as we weren't planning to arrive until late evening, although our email wasn't acknowleged by the hotel our room was ready for us when we arrived. Our room... I recently spent a night at this hotel while in the area for business. What a fantastic place, the service and the food was exceptional. I had a walk around the gardens aswell which were very beautiful. The room was perfect and also had a great view. This was a welcome change to my work trip, will definitely be back. More
