Stayed in the linthwaite for a night over the may bank holiday.
It was a birthday present from my partner and all around couldn't have been better!
The service from start to finish was faultless.

I dont do many reviews on Tripadvisor but I have to say something about our last stay at the Linthwaite. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with it`s own tarn and has a really informal friendly feel. We stayed for one night (to keep the babysitters sweet) for our wedding anniversary and our stay was as good as usual....

For my girlfriend's birthday we booked a double room with a double bath with evening meal included.
The room was fantastic, the bath took a while to fill up but it was worth it, it's almost like having a mini spa in your room. The room was fantastic, we didn't get a lake view but the bath more than compensated...

Yes that bath takes 20 minutes to fill, but it does mean you can bath together and spend some quality time!

The location is ideal, just outside of the main village so it's very quiet but close to the shops/restaurants.
The staff were professional and very welcoming - nothing was too much trouble.
The food: superb! We opted for the room and dinner deal and the food was incredible. Even breakfast was great - go for the salmon!
