less than 5 minutes walk from the train station, the main bus departure point, an amazing supermarket, the information centre, shops and bars. A really cosy backpackers, not over run with lots of people, good kitchen and dining/lounge area. Breakfast of cornflakes, toast and tea - can't complain. lovely walks to the lake. Very Clean.

Lakes lodge is a very friendly BB , rooms are nice and the beds very comfortable , that comfortable we missed breakfast, even though the food was good. It is in a very good spot for shops and plenty of Restaraunts. I would recommend this BB to friends .

Very clean and warm. If you want fluffy towels and en suite then pay four times as much somewhere else. If a problem should arise there is no-one available to sort it (broken bed) but over-all can't complain. Would stay again. Pub over the road serves really good food at a fair price.

Pros: Cheap, good location, clean Cons: No locks on doors (but lockers available), few bathrooms Conclusion: Perfect for what we were looking for, a cheap place to sleep and a good base to explore the lakes from.

A very average hostel with average facilities, average rooms and toilets but in a very good location of Windermere. I got off my train at 10pm and arrived in my hostel within 5minutes including searching. A good place for overnight stays only with reasonable price including breakfast.
