As usual our trip to Blackpool and stay in the Astoria for the pigeon weekend was a great success. Val and Tony and staff always look after us and I would recommend a visit to anyone wanting to sample great hospitality. It was like home from home.Looking forward to next visit in 2014

We've been coming to Blackpool for around 10 years now, attending dance festivals at the Winter Gardens and have stayed in a variety of hotels and guest houses. This time we chose the Astoria - it was close, reasonably priced and had good reviews. My what a find! Charming, immaculate bedroom and en-suite, superb cooked vegetarian breakfast, and a truly... We spent new year at the Astoria and could not have asked for more. The hotel is clean, tidy, and the owners and staff are the nicest and most helpful people you can hope for. I would recommend The Astoria to anybody. It is perfectly positioned for the centre of town and the breakfasts are fabulous. I can't wait to... More

Returned to the Astoria for 3 nights over New Year and as with our previous stay it was excellent. Val and Tony along with Kim and Gemma really are the perfect team. Nothing is too much trouble, the room, dining room, reception, bar, everything clean, tidy and welcoming. New years eve was a blast and Val had even put on... More

Stayed over in December for a works do. The warm and friendly service and the way we were looked after was 5 star, our hosts couldn't do enough for us. As they weren't full, we were immediately given an upgrade and both of our rooms were excellent. They'd really made an effort with the decor and a generous hospitality tray... More

Had a lovely stay. The hosts were friendly and knowledgable. The restaurant recommendations were very good. The room was just right for what we needed and great value for money. All in all a great weekend.

To some looking in from the outside it doesn't look any different to many others in the road. I can assure you all after visiting 2 other B&B's on the same road that it is different. The price may be the same low price but the service and quality of rooms and breakfast is much better. The quality of service... More
