We stayed at the Wellington for 2 nights on a Thursday and a Friday. The location is brilliant for convenience and sight seeing as it is directly opposite the Waterloo train station. From the hotel the London eye and Big Ben is just a couple of minutes walk away. We were also able to walk to the Tate Modern, Covent... More

Thank you very much for your feedback. We work hard to keep on top of the standard of the rooms. We apologies that on this visit, the standards were not met. With regards to the pipe work, it has not been mentioned in the past but I will have this looked in to. Once again, thank you for your feedback.... More

We stayed here on a Saturday night. Check in is at the bar and the good thing is you can leave luggage if you are early for check in. The rooms are normal London size with the usual TV/coffee tea making facilities. Room was clean but the bathroom was a little grubby. Noise was not too much of a problem... More

The hotel is in a great location and is ideal as a base for sight seeing. The family room was adequate for our 1 night stay and I was surprised how quiet it was given the busy rd outside. The downside was the attitude of the staff and repeated errors with the serving of our food, on arrival we ordered... More

With regards to your review, I wish that you would have mentioned your experience with the delayed food when we spoke in the morning, as I am a very aproachable person and like to treat my guest as I like to be treated myself. Our breakfast is always cooked fresh to order and on this particular morning as I am... More

This was the first time we have taken our children to London (aged 6 and 9) and for our overnight sight seeing trip, the hotel was perfect. The location was spot on as we traveled up by train to Waterloo, so crossing the road to drop off our luggage (which was safely stored until we could check in) enabled us... More

We stayed in London for 6 days during May 2013 after a transatlantic cruise and were looking for a "reasonable price" hotel in Central London as close to a tube and train station as possible (not an easy task!). This hotel could not be closer unless it was in the Tube/Station lobby! The noise reviews had me concerned so I... More

I booked this hotel for a business trip to London. The price was reasonable and the location excellent for central London. The room was pretty basic but satisfactory, and the bar downstairs served good ale, and the food looked good. What let this place down for me was the noise. If you reached out of the window you could practically... More

Thanks for you comments. Can you imagine what it must have been like before I took over the Wellington, when there was no earplugs in the room! To illustrate how different people are, I had a lady this morning sleeping trough breakfast saying she had a great nights sleep and didn't hear any noise. Once again thank you for your... More

After reading many reviews I picked this hotel due to the location. My son was studying in London and his flat was right down the street...so I chose this option. It literally was across the street from the exit of the Waterloo Station which made my daugher and I very happy as we were exhausted when we arrived! We arrived... More

Thank you for taking your time to do a review of the Wellington. I am happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. You are right in mentioning that the lack of a lift may be a problem for some people. Also you mentioned the carpets could do with a spruce up. We are hoping to have this done sometime... More

Value for money is excellent, its a short walk away from Big Ben, & literally over the road from the tube, which gets you to anywhere, very quickly, Its a pub, with rooms! the room was en suite, with a good shower, clean & tidy, it was not very big, & could probably do with a lick of paint, but... The Wellington was everything I expected. I liked the pub(reception) had good food and a great breakfast. rooms where small but good enough. Staff was helpful. Most of all though was the location. Just a 5 min walk from Westminster Bridge and even closer to the London Eye. was a big bonus being directly accross the road from the Waterloo... More

If you stay somewhere central in London for £95 a night, it's actually a rather good. That is particularly so when somewhere like the Wellington is right across the road from Waterloo station, and so it seemed like the perfect crash-pad for after a wedding in town. The room was not bad at all, and the bathroom facilities were decent... More

Thank you for your comments about your stay with us. We appreciate all feedback that we do get and we try to act on both good and bad feedback to improve our standards. We do try to accomodate indivudual requests about early check in which in some cases is easier than others depending on the previous nights occupancy. Once again,... More
