This must be London's best kept secret. On a quiet, residential, historical street in So. Kensington, Aster House is among a set of Victorian-era row houses. Leoni does an amazing job in every way. Our room was spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is in the bright and cheery conservatory on the second floor, with a lovely selection of... More

Our room was very comfortable, the breakfast was tasty, fresh and something for everyone. The staff is so friendly and helpful, tried to make our stay comfortable. Will stay here again! there are stairs but the suitcases were helpfully taken care of. Nice wardrobe to unpack into-good bedside lighting and internet available. thanks

We want to add to the praises of this excellent B&B. So pleasant to be on a quiet residential street but close to Underground (including fast, direct ride to Heathrow) and many good places for lunch and dinner. Standard rooms were pretty, clean, and even if a bit small, very functional. Bathrooms had good shower pressure and room for toiletries.... More

Like most other TA reviewers of Aster House (AH), I was initially enticed to stay at this B&B based on props from Rick Steves and his team, both in his London city guidebook and a London episode of his PBS travel series where he is filmed descending the AH staircase. Although I am hardly the peripatetic European traveler the Steves... More

We had booked our hotel for our 4-night London stay well ahead of watching a Rick Steeves program on PBS. Thankfully we did it through Booking.com and were able to cancel without a charge. Let me just say right off the bat that the Steeves recommendation was bang on! The room we stayed in (Garden Room) was down a short... More

We were looking for a clean, well-located hotel at a good price (not a simple undertaking) and Aster House filled the bill perfectly. The management and staff were extremely gracious in accommodating our requests and in making helpful suggestions to enhance our visit. Help with luggage was especially appreciated. Armed with our Oyster cards we were able to use the... More

The pluses are: close to tube station, close to museums and pubs, safe quiet neighborhood, excellent full breakfast. Manager is nice and helpful. Negatives: if your room is on the 3 rd floor, 4 flights of narrow steep stairs, wifi was very temperamental. I had all my travel info, contacts nd travel apps on my iPad and couldn't always access... We stayed just one night in this small hotel on a quiet street, but wish it had been more. The staff is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The room was large, bed comfortable and breakfast very good. It is close to the South Kensington tube station.

Leonie couldn't have been more helpful, ensuring my 12yo son was looked after while I was out. Thank you Leonie. (My only beef, no bacon for breakfast - just a personal thing!) Excellent location, a block away from South Kensington station. The other reviews say it all. Given London prices, I thought it was excellent value and deserving of its... More
