The room was clean, if small and the bed was comfortable. When we arrived it was to find that there was a planned power cut for 3 hours! Perversely, this wasn't accompanied by staff being obviously available to assist and mitigate the inevitable inconvenience. Fortunatley, we had only booked for one night. In the morning our attempt at a swift... More

Just a 2 minute walk from the High Street Kensington Underground Station, shopping (Gap, Mark & Spencers, H&M) and restaurants, you can't beat the location of this hotel. We generally had a very positive experience at this hotel. The staff were friendly and always ready to help (although some of the friendliness wasn't sincere but that's OK). The room was nice and clean and new. We were given an upgrade and were happy with the room. Breakfast was Ok, but not amazing. We upgraded to the English breakfast... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your recommendation and feedback on your recent stay at the Kensington Close Hotel. I am pleased that your room was to your liking and that you enjoyed our full English breakfast. In regards to the room-service tray cost and the discretionary service charge at the bar, unfortunately, these are standard service fees at most hotels.... More

A lovely hotel? This place is a dump. We have stayed in London many times and try to stay in a different part of the city each time. This was by far the worst hotel experience in London or anywhere I have ever had. We stayed here in March of this year for a week and coming back to the... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay at the Kensington Close, however I must say I was appalled to hear that you witnessed one of our managers, whose name you did not provide, turn his or her back on one of the guests. We are currently undergoing major refurbishment, hence, our property is undergoing transition, but... More

The room was pretty spacious (for London) but the housekeeping could be better. We love the fact that it was so close to the High Street Kensington station (2-3 minutes walk). Breakfast was average, better to have it elsewhere if this does not include in your room charges. There were some renovation works but it didn't bother us much as... More

The Kensington Close is a lovely hotel and is literally 2 mins from the underground!. The rooms are pretty small, however you really can't complain for London. It is so quiet there and the construction work that is going on is within reasonable hours! so don't let this worry you!. They do ask for a deposit when you go there... More

I have read the reviews of the Kensington Close Hotel here on tripadvisor.uk. There are not so good. Here I present a short review after 3 stays over as many months as a business and company user. The bottom line is that I have no tips that may enable, or ensure, a better stay at the Kensington Close Hotel. After... More

Having read the other reviews on tripadvisor my hopes of an enjoyable stay were not high - but it seemed worth a try, given the awfulness of the next door Copthorne Tara which I've had to stay in previously. Things didn't start particularly promisingly when I arrived to a long queue at check in. Things got worse when I got... More

I knew the hotel was under renovation when I booked it and the issues I had were not directly related to the building work. I chose the hotel because of its great location and because it is further away from the railway tracks/noise than the Copthorne Tara. Not a great welcome, lots of male staff milling around the concierge desk,... More
